Was thinking about taking the day off work to milk this as much as possible.

 

Went to work in the end as I really played it enough Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  

 

Scary addictive promoting every 2 games.

Given the actual state of the game, having 2x XP for every weekend from now on would be a good idea.

Not only people log in more during those XP event weekends, but some might also log in during the week. It's a win-win situation for everyone.

I'd also recommend a 30% boost during the week, just to speed up the regular promotion for new/old players. The more players we get on higher difficulties, the better...

35 promotes! (I made sure on Thursday night to have all my characters at level 17-18, so the first set of promotes happened pretty much instantly.)

I have been informed that I am approaching Promo Lord status. I would like my membership card, exclusive club jacket, and packet of special offers and coupons sent out ASAP. I don't want to miss my chances for the 2 for 1 steak dinner at Morty's that I hear is being offered to club members in October.

I don't know for sure since I am not remotely eligible to join the club, but I heard the only benefit you get is free teabags?  Is this a British club?

I used the opposite tactics, and changed characters when they'd reached higher levels yesterday. So I'm looking forward to some quick promotes this week instead. But I'm more casual/lower promoted, so I'll get around 10 promotes (and am happy with that ).

I'm more in favor of a double gold weekend next time - still have quite a few purples I'd like to get my hands on .
