I'm sorry, but hair is something you painfully suck at. Amateur modders have no problem making nice LONG hair, why can't YOU do it?

 

Darn you and your butt UGLY bald or ridiculously short hairstyles that are all stiff as concrete. I know the female PC is supposed to be badass but that doesn't mean she can't also look pretty and feminine. You can be "one of the guys" without looking like the guys.

 

ME3 was the only game where a bit of effort into making nice looking hair actually started show a little. Needless to say the first two were pretty disappointing in that department, as were the DA games (the hairstyles in DAO were hideous, DA2 was fairly decent, but then did a U turn and went back to being ugly and pathetic again in DAI).

 

Hair is an extremely important cultural thing, you know. It's the pinnacle of status symbols. When you look at someone, what is usually the first thing you notice about them? It's almost always their hair. Having nice looking hair is a pretty big deal in any culture. Hence why I don't understand why you insist on forcing everyone to have such hideous mops adorning their heads. It's cruel.

 

Pretty please put some work into rendering some decently attractive hairstyles this time around... please?!

 

Literally everything else is so high definition and pretty looking... WHY NOT HAIR??

if they just focus on one hairstyle for each gender then they can make good quality hair that rivals Ryse and Tomb Raider

I'm agree in the part of variety but for an asari, a turian, a krogan and all the other races i imagine it doesn't matter for them, maybe some bioware staff in charge of that are "aliens" XD

Well IRL mammals are the only animals that have hair (what we call "hair" on insects is actually structured totally differently from mammalian hair). The reproductive biology of ME aliens isn't really discussed; quarians are definitely mammals (and have hair), the asari possibly are too (considering they possess mammary glands... ahem), but the turians and krogan likely are not, and it's explicitly confirmed that salarians lay eggs.

I wouldn't want them to concentrate on one style only. Not everyone have the same taste and I definitely wouldn't want my character to wear a ponytail. No thank you. I'd rather take the old ME trilogy selection over a one single style any day.

with all those helmets and gravity affecting powers and fire and explosions, I imagine long hair would just get in the way unless put in a bun or something...  I mean outside of appearances long hair has no use in anything. and does it really matter if the aliens of another galaxy think our hair is nice while we attempt to colonize their worlds?

Two words: sex appeal. Plus you can use your imagination and just pretend they tie it up when they put on a helmet, and leave it down the rest of the time...

I agree that Bioware falls short in all of its games when it comes to modelling its characters' hair, DA:I being by far the worst of the lot, but I don't think the comparison to modders is a fair one. The modders don't need to worry about time constraints when designing their mods and can take as long as they like. They also can afford to be far less concerned about technical issues like clipping.

Oh sweet butterfly, there's more than a bit of generalization amongst other things in that statement there.... Oh, is there ever.  

 

As mentioned above, there is existing threads on the Mass Effect: Andromeda forum about hair so would be better if add your post to one of them. I also believe that providing examples of what kind of hair you'd like to see implemented in the game's character creations adds to your feedback and request since simply requesting long hair and asking that it being pretty is rather vague since people will have different images invoked.

So what you're saying is, you want a totally unrealistic hairdo. Ever seen a female grunt (as in, Army grunt)? If her hair is long, how is it styled on duty? THAT'S RIGHT! IN A BUN! There is no reason for a soldier-like character to have anime girl hair.

So what you're saying is, you want a totally unrealistic hairdo. Ever seen a female grunt (as in, Army grunt)? If her hair is long, how is it styled on duty? THAT'S RIGHT! IN A BUN! There is no reason for a soldier-like character to have anime girl hair.

to be fair this is a sci fi setting so imposing real world stuff dosen't need to necessarily happen lets not forget in the original trilogy both Miranda and Ashley have shoulder length hair. As long as there aer a couple of shoulder length options and maybe 1 or 2 ponytail style options for the player to select in the CC if the player should want it I think that should be fine without going over thew top.

During my basic military training one of our commanding officers was 'the shorter, the better' kinda guy. So the day before hair-check our entire company shaved heads. Noone saw happier officer, ever.

Also I'd rather look ugly(er) than have my view obstructed by flyin' hair in combat situations.

maybe maybe not I was just saqying that long hair on males dosen't really work for me though it does on females I'm just saying it dosen't on males in my opinion.
