I don't want long hair, either. Just some decent looking shoulder length hair. Something like these...

(the first, big picture)

...and...

Also, when looking at this thread...

...yeah, can't see a single bald one there.

This is probably where BW is getting the styles from...

Well, long hair that's assembled somehow isnt a problem. I have long hair, but i braid it everytime i'm doing something extreme. Works like a charm.

I do the same thing with my long hair and that would work for me, too. I kinda meant a long, flowing all over the place -hair. :)

I've seen women with very long hair when I was in the military who tied it up in a bun without any problem.

Hi all.

Is anyone familiar with the rifle that the Peruvian female soldier is holding? First time I've seen this oddity.

Two words: sex appeal. Plus you can use your imagination and just pretend they tie it up when they put on a helmet, and leave it down the rest of the time...

yeah that's what I'd do

It's the FN F2000 Standard.

Did said women generally tend to wear their hair down while ON DUTY? No, they waited until they had free time to put their hair down, right?

Never said they had their hair down while on duty, right? Off-duty some had their hair down

As the police officer says in ME2 says "nice guns try not to use them in my district."

Let's hope Bioware take a look at some of the one's you've posted or at least consider using Ashley/Miranda as inspirations on how to do it and give those options to the player. Also with those free MMO's there's plenty out there to give Bioware ideas on how to do better.

Shepard is kind of operating outside the military in ME as it is, so nobody can really tell her how to wear her hair. "Military standards" my calloused foot...

But the problem wasn't so much that they were all short and mannish, but that the meshes and texture work were such ugly poor quality. And because they all had a case of rigor mortis.

I agree plus I don't think the engine it was usinjg was neccessarily the best at that sort of thing. The only game I know of that uses that engine that had any kind of hair physics was Alice Madness returns although I think Bioshock Infinite may have used it as well.

But yeah as you say as a Spectre the rules don't necessaqrily have to apply to her although she may have just got used to having her hair that way that she didn't bother changing it too much. Hopefully we'll get better hairstyles and some more flexibilty as my femshep's current boyfriend Garrus would put it.

We are talking about a video game. If the character need to change his hairstyle between battle mode and casual mode, it will be great but will Bioware do that amount of work?

probably not but if your in a toxic environment you'll be putting a helmet on anyway before you even go there. That's if you do visit any toxic planets. I assume we will at some point in the story but we'll not know what to expect until we have more info.

Replace hair with fiber optic threads that are controlled with your omni tool. Allow you to change the length, style, rigidity, color and luminescence with a few button taps. Save some preset models for a quick change to your favorite looks.

That and animated glowing Nano tattoos.

I didn't say we had to have loose long hair when not in battle though? I wouldnt mind running around with braided hair, as an example, the entire time. :)

Do it better?.. Yes!!

I fear, however, that the FB3 engine is unsuited for long hair 'cause according to Mike Laidlaw (DA:I) it causes clipping. So, it's either the engine or the amateur that was given the task of implementing hair styles or (and this may be a stretch) Bio ran out of time and the hair style assignment was changed to "slap on some hair options and make it quick".

If it's the engine, I expect ME:A to come out with short or relative short hair. Also, I fervently hope that Bio will come to their senses and omit those awful facial options from DA:I.  If it's not the engine, then Bio can take their time to provide us with acceptable human styles.

Oh, and regardless of style, I want hair that looks like hair and not a barbie Ken type plastic crapola.  After all, Bio has come out and gushed with glee how the FB3 engine rendered graphics look much, much better now that Bio is unfettered with the new gen hardware.

Well I'm not entirely sure that the engine can't do it. I mostly think it needs moer work I think the fact that they're only going for the new systems this time around will leqad toward an all round better expreience including the CC. Also I agree with your last statement there I think we'er all getting fed up with plastic helmet head style looks and hopefully the upgrade to next gen only will improve that as well.

I do see what your saying though it does fantastic scenery but it does struggle a bit with hair but I think in time this can be improved but Bioware need to obviously work on it more .I'm pretty sure they can do better as I think the armours and weapons and all that were excellent in DAI. IMO aside from the hair in DAI I can't really fault that game at all.

I thought the hair in Inquisition was fine. The problem seemed to be there were nowhere near enough styles. You essentially had, what, 2, 3 choices for females to have long hair? And about 50 to be buzzcut or bald. I know some people are into that, but not nearly as many as you would think from how many options there are.
