Americans debating the quality of beer? How .... amusing.
Not as amusing as your ignorance and bigotry.

DA2 used the Unreal engine, I believe. Certainly not Frostbite.
I know it used the Unreal engine i was saying that the Hairstyles they gave us in DA2 would be better than the ones they've been giving us since. The fact that DA2 is also made by Bioware shows they can do it when they put their mind to it. They just need to pull it all together again if they can was my point. Or co,me up with hairstyles that are similar and similar to what our teammates are using as ewll.

DA2 used Lycium, a modified version of DA:O's Eclipse. Even so hair is normally just a model so it should still work, same as most assets can be transferred between engines.

Agreed that's what I was saying if they could do it on one engine they really should check to make sure they can do it on others. I certainly don't want 20 variations of bald on my character if I can avoid it. Especially if I'm playing a female hero. I don't mind it so much on males as you do see bald males but you don't see too many bald females if any.

Really? I did not know that - my expertise (or, rather, lack thereof) in the field of programming is limited to a semester of coding I took in high school and whatever my brother (a software engineer of sorts) has the patience to explain to me when we meet up for drinks. Though, granted, the latter never covers many issues, because, yeah, drinks.
Anyways, I had no idea - I always thought that changing the engine meant re-creating all of your assets from scratch. Which, now that I think about it, would be kind of an insane amount of work. I was actually recently replaying Mark of the Assassin and parts of it made me go "hang on a second, did I not see this exact same model in Inquisition?"
Also, you mentioned that most assets are capable of making the transfer. Is there a limit, then? I am sorry if I am swamping you with questions.
This is why I love hanging out with you guys. Why discuss something once when you can discuss it 46 more times?

Wrex? what are you doing here?
Double down on that. It's a hipster douche shitty beer.
And here I thought PBR was just fulfilling that niche market for canned British tap water.
From my experience with Bioware, I would imagine that they wilk make "bad" hair and you will be left with three options. Suck it up, don't play, mods. I always go crew cut. Crew cuts are best cuts. man, woman, child or elderly. everyone should have crew cuts. The only acceptable long hair style in my mind is a mullet. those just make everything fun.

A lot of what an engine is using are things made in other programs. You probably wouldn't modify or create sounds or images inside an engine (though you might, because software is flexible) because there's a heap of other programs for that, and because there's a stack of standard file formats for doing that stuff your engine will be able to share the content with those programs and other engines that also use those formats.
Where that breaks down is stuff the engine is doing itself (as opposed to just using). So the way Unity stores a level is different to the way Unreal 4 does - they don't even have the same names.

I'm not sure whether that's an insult or a compliment to British tap water tbh... yes our tap water has an ABV of about 3% and is, in fact slightly brown (depending where you live)...
That's why we brew this kinda madness!

Yes, yes that is a 41% ABV.
It's Irish tap water you've REALLY got to watch out for, those taps ooze pure Poteen!

* yes this is on topic ... hair of the dog!
...
I wish I liked IPAs as I work 3 blocks from the Brewer who is consistently rated the worlds best for that style. They are kind of the other end of the spectrum drop enough flavor in this case hops that it blows your taste buds out. Why that style is popular over here I can't guess. But they can't all be my favorite which is st bernardus 12, which I try to keep a keg of at my house.
So you're Canadian then?

Yes but even for males it's excessive. I guess in the eyes of BioWare 80% of the male population is some degree of balding. Also, all women have sideburns.

I agree that's why I help to support these threads in the firsat place because this is an area that for me BW must improve going forward.

No. You can find more articles and best in world awards if you look. Beer awards are almost like game of the year awards but Russian River is almost always high in the list or tops it from the dozen or so I've looked up. Research and stuff though I was tracking down Hefeweizens and saw these on the side. Sadly yes huff po was the first I found on my phone.

Russian River. If it wasn't in a perpetual state of packed I might go there after work occasionally. Their Belgium style sours are pretty good.
S'alright, I'm just yanking your chain... tbh really hoppy/yeasty beers play hell with my stomache... and my head. Never used to, I must be getting old :|
Which is a sod as I really enjoy the taste - after a couple of pints I have to move onto single malts.
I drink a lot more Whiskey than beers these days.

In real life I wear my hair long; it's about down to my mid back.
However, I would never make a ME character with hair that long. I may be over in another thread arguing in favor of swords being a viable option in the game, but hair that's too long is more immersion breaking for me than that. I think hair in a space environment would need to be easily manageable, easy to get into a sealed helmet quickly.
Just my thoughts on it.

Yeah that would probabl ybe too long but shoulder length hair like what both Ashley and Miranda had is quite acceptable I think as long as there's a couple of options around like that I think it's OK. For me that's really what the game needs better less bald options and a couple of shoulder length options for the player to select similar to what DA2's hair options were like
I hope we get some curls and waves this time around too.
