Well it's totally optional to go there, if someone finds additional enjoyment there then I can't see the problem.

I'm not going there myself as I don't really want everyone to know who I am after all the silly drunken posts in the past, but that's just me

Come on man, I don't have to copy and paste it again do I? It's not hard to understand forum policies. If this thread gets locked it'll be because it got derailed not it doing something imaginary as you are thinking. How could I be disrespecting this forum by bringing it more Mass Effect stuff? It's a social network dude...some even call it a community. 

 

Don't worry I won't continue responding. Not sure I have the patience to re-explain things so many times. 

 

Also, I am not offended by people's posts of not wanting to go to it. It's all good. It was a suggestion of a Multiplayer community page that is still active...figured it would be cool to share as I just became part of it and like the guys who started the page. Don't like it, don't want to go to it? Cool. All good. No sweat off my back.

Yeah I get that. I get around that by posting as a facebook page, which done right, can be almost like a username here. Still though, that's a pain so I would totally understand not wanting to check it out because of that. 

 

I'll stop the comments here though as I think people (not  you) are getting way too sensitive about me posting a community page about Mass Effect multiplayer....in a Mass Effect multiplayer forum.

What the F are you talking about?  Half of the people on this site have links to other websites in their signatures.  There are topics on this site that use other sites to aid them.  How do you seriously think he is lacking respect?

I have ZERO problems with people posting you-toob vids or making links to their yoo-tube channels in their signatures... I wouldn't even say one word  if OP or Caine made threads promoting their you tube channels or making entire threads where 50 you tube vids were posted...That's not what OP did, OP came here promoting another website that is doing what we already do here.....Anyone could have created a thread just like this and I would have said the same things.....I would love a thread made up entirely of you tube vids showing all of everyone's experiences.....

I get it. Its the same kind of thinking Cometh indicated though. It doesn't connect with me based on what this forum is.
 
BSN is exactly a "social network", which means we can discuss socially and network about the game even if it includes another platform.
 
For example, if we go to the Mass Effect Story, Campaign and Characters section where they grouped the old Mass Effect Art forum, would we frown on a poster who posted about their art located on deviantart.com, posted images of it, and told people they can join his/her deviantart page? .....No....I am 100% sure that would not be the case as he/she is posting about said topic, even if its another platform.
 
So with that example, this post is about a Mass Effect Multiplayer Facebook community group that asked me to be a part of it two weeks ago. I joined and figured it may be interesting to some people here as it is related to multiplayer entirely....exactly as this forum is related to multiplayer.
 
As to the "frowning" on efforts...I don't know what that means, based on my explanation previously, if posting about a Mass Effect multiplayer community page is frowned upon then most likely whoever frowns on this posting probably doesn't understand the forum itself.  
 
EDIT: only because its the internet and anything can be taken various ways even if we are giggling ticklish about it. My response was not defensive on you or cometh, just an opinion.

Yeah I know which is....really weird. You're pretty much saying the same thing that Cometh is saying, except for the disrespect part which definitely makes no sense, which is that posting something here....that is Mass Effect Multiplayer related post .....because its in another site.... shouldn't be here. Which I have to say....doesn't make much sense to me. 

 

YouTube = Another website (not sure why people don't understand that YouTube.com (.com <<<) is a website

Facebook = a website

deviantart.com , where ALL Mass Effect fan artists post their stuff and drop it in here on these forums....is a website

Integrating posts like videos, images and memes'....... is a website...all going OUTSIDE of BSN or within it.

(^^^All of these sites are also communities)

 

So everytime you or cometh have posted a video in a post, or meme, or even added an image on BSN.... you are in fact doing exactly what you both are indicating I did here....which again........is weird. :S

 

I don't know. Maybe I misunderstood your post, which is totally possible, this being the internet and all. As it would seem you are critiquing something you do yourself.

 

From seeing cometh's comments it does make me wonder now. I don't have any alt accounts on BSN and don't ever plan to have one, ever, but due to all the weird ideology that I am seeing on this thread I wonder now how this post would have fared if it was not my INVADERONE account who posted it. Not on you but Cometh. I only say this as none of the push back responses on this thread make any sense except for the logical ones about people not wanting to go to Facebook because of privacy....that I get 100%. 

 

Oh well. All good. Again, if ya'll (yes I wrote ya'll, my wife is southern and it seems to be having an effect on me) don't want to go the page...don't. Those who do, you're welcome to. No biggie.

I mean it's where pensioners embarass their teenage grandchildren by liking a post and such...
Since whatsapp has been acquired by FB - we only go to FB bc an uncle or techno phobic friend posted his latest breakfast / daily jogging time or some funny spam pic there.


And ... (The prime reason d'etre for this forum)- we can be silly asses anonymously - with FB linked account, even peanut can figure out where mgamerz lives).

Why have I not heard of this internet space yet? Is it anything like the gym where I always get renegade interrupted by defined sweaty jugs when I'm trying my hardest to work out? If so, where do I sign up?

Its an ME3 Multiplayer community now but as ME Andromeda comes out it will become a ME Andromeda one.
