No romance in DA2. Two out of six wardens had a romance. Three out of 4 Inquisitors had a romance. Cullen with human mage, Solas with elf rogue, and Iron Bull with human warrior.

Almost no romance in DA2 but I gave Sebastian a shot in the end
Origins... Alistair always

I have two Wardens who stayed single, although one of them married Anora for poltical reasons. Don't know if that counts as a 'romance' exactly. All of my Hawkes hooked up with someone. (Or at least tried to - my 'canon' Hawke romanced Sebastian and spared Anders. So that didn't end so well.)
I miiiiight make an Inquisitor that just flirts with Scout Harding and doesn't get together with anyone, but it'll depend on if I end up with nine Inquisitors instead of eight. I'm one of those people that just has to see all of the romances for myself, so I've still got Cassandra, Sera, Cullen and Bull to go.

Cass was ok,
But I didn't really like her character all that much and I didn't really like Josie's character at all.
I liked her character, though not her looks in most cases. But it was my Inquisitor's romance, not mine. Josephine's romance arc is badly written, and she's not attractive to me either. But I do think Josephine was the most helpful advisor out of the three. My Inquisitor was good friends with her, and they danced together at Halamshiral.

DAO, female warden romanced Alistair (then broke up, because Alistair became king) and flirted a bit with Zevran (unintentionally leading him on). Ended up Forever Alone.
DA2, bi male Hawke romanced Isabella (and had a threesome with Zevran!). My Hawke and Izzie I find the most interesting because they have an open relationship yet end up thick as thieves (they're also both rogues, get it ha ha ha?).
DAI, female Inq is gay, flirted with Cass and Josie (and tongue-in-cheekily with Dorian and Harding), but Cass, of course, is straight and Josie just didn't feel "right" (the question of professionalism). Sera was more like a younger sister. So no romance. It was nice not having one for a change of pace, so I didn't mind (it also fit her workaholic personality, too).

My lady wardens can never get out of Ostagar without falling for Alistair's boyish charm, and my males usually fall for Leliana, though a flirtation with Morrigan may also be entertained before she gets all freaked out about the feels with them. My first Hawke ended up 'forever alone' because I missed the quest where you pick up Fenris in Act 1, and none of the other romances appealed with her. I intend to try all the Inquisition romances if I can, except Solas. I don't do angst overload.

I did a couple of DAO runs without romances, and my canonical Hawke didn't romance anyone because all the romance options in DA2 were insane in some way. If Varric or Aveline had been options, my Hawke might have gone after them. As it was, my Hawke remained foreveralone.

My current Inqui is staying single. I'm rp'ing her as 'hard-core' on the not mixing with humans. She might have been interested in Solas but he likes to sneer at the Dalish too much and Sera isn't Dalish friendly either. So.
Previous games..hmm. In DAO I had problems resisting Zev's charms so probably not
DA2, I honestly don't remember. Probably. I do try to do 'single' playthroughs to see how different the interactions are.

I'm more inclined to do it when I don't feel like I'm missing out on content. Hawke was great for a no-romance PT, because you get at least one unique scene (Aveline coming to visit you after mother dies). It was brief, but it was there. Usually not doing a romance feels like I'm missing out on scenes I could've had. Sometimes I have a PC that I just can't RP in a romance though. Maybe they're too nasty for me to hook the LIs up with them believably. Or they're all about their duty (especially a Warden), or simply are aromantic.

You can marry Bull, can you not?
No! Which I hate, marrying Bull would have been cutiepatootie.

I hear it's implied that it could happen some time in the future..
On topic. Does it count if you had a derp moment on your first ever run of a game and didn't get somebody's romance, even if you tried?
Cause that was me. My first run was with a female elf, and I could not for the life of me lock in Sera's romance! I tried everything.. everything, minus one little detail; you HAVE to exhaust all dialogue options. I was lazy and missed out on a couple.
I kept thinking it would be like ME's style and you had to progress the game to get anywhere.. but this made matters worse. Especially when I drank from the well.. I thought it was a dealbreaker
then at the end of the game.. she called me her friend. And I was gutted. But I finally got it next time around.

Indeed, OP, my main Inquisitor didn't romance anyone because the only one compatible, in terms of personality and interest, was Dorian, and unfortunately he's gay. They ended up being very good friends, and I envision her to wish, sometimes, that things could've been different, but that is that.

Inquis can be like 'So Bull, whatcha thinking bout marriage?' and he goes like 'Uh we don't have to, but if you really want to let's see when this is all over.'
It's never mentioned again and I just wish they could have included something in the epilog if you chose this dialogue... I'm just pissed about it because when I played through Trespasser for the first time with my canon Dorian romance and Cassie was like 'Huh?? Marriage?? ;)' and then Dorian dropped the Tevinter bomb I hoped at least my other Inquis gets some sweet honeymoon time. But noooo, only the females! (Not saying it's part of some agenda, but......................................) ![]()

Yeah I don't get why only people who romanced Cullen and Sera get that option tbh. I personally find Josephine to be fitting for a marriage, considering she's the cheesemance of the game. Ironically, I don't even like marriage. Only in a video game. ![]()

Before I had a word for what I am and still thought I was gay, I felt semi-obliged to try Leliana during my Origins playthrough. The affection was nice, but the physical bits were "ugh" at best. My Warden wasn't even that compatible with Leliana in terms of personality, so in retrospect it was probably only an intense "finding some comfort during terrible times" thing that wouldn't have endured in the long run, but was cut short by her death before they could realize this and start growing apart. I feel kind of bad for Leliana actually, because she's still clearly not entirely over it.
Some time afterwards, I finally heard about "asexuality" and "aromanticism" and it was like a revelation from on high.
I skipped DA2 due to a complete lack of interest in the premise or characters (Aveline sounded like the only one I'd have called a friend in the long run), and in Inquisition the only one who might have tempted me even remotely is Cassandra, who is straight. So both my human warrior and her new AU mage-self are happily single and very firmly Not Interested.
I'm more inclined to do it when I don't feel like I'm missing out on content. Hawke was great for a no-romance PT, because you get at least one unique scene (Aveline coming to visit you after mother dies). It was brief, but it was there. That is the only thing that tempts me, too -- the chance for more content with a character I truly like, and feeling "left out" of any kind of truly close bond with anyone. It's hard and rare enough to get any real affection from NPCs towards the PC as it is, and IMO it's a shame that the writers don't allow for a chance to build a platonic-love friendship or two as an alternative to the romances, something beyond the "normal" level of friendliness you can reach with all companions. Headcanon-wise, my Inquisito definitely has that kind of bond with Cass and Cole.

While I have tried the romances to see them, current and future play throughs will likely be without romance. Not that I have anything against romance in general or the individual options in particularly, but rather none of them are the right fit for me.
Cullen comes close but a) he's not romanceable by males without a mod (and even with a mod there's no voiced dialogue for the inquisitor for many of the scenes) and B) he's not a companion for the party which limits my interaction with him. Cassandra also comes close but she's well... a she and not a he. A male character similar to Cassandra might have been closer to what appeals to me. While I appreciate Dorian as a character, he's more of the type of person I'd be friends with rather than romance. Bull on the other hand is more of a one night stand type for me rather than someone for a long term relationship.
DAO's Alistair romance was the best fit for me using a mod to allow a male mage to romance him. Choosing the right dialogue options also kept it making sense. Alistair's personality and character were the ideal romance for my tastes.

I did it in DA2. Just didn't saw any of the LI as the "life partner" of my Hawke. Maybe Merrill but she seemed so clueless that I always felt like abusing a child, so I decided to let my Hawke have Fenris as a f*** buddy and not engage in any serious relationship.

Inquisition is the first Dragon Age game in which I've done a romance. (It's not you, Bioware love interests, it's me.
)
I cheat sometimes in the Keep, though, and set the tiles to include love interests that I haven't really done. ~shrugs~ I wanted Kieran in the Skyhold garden.

Whenever I do my rebel mage replay, I will probably go no romance. Liked Cass a lot, but the characters were not compatible. Picked Josie, but ended up not being a fan of her romance. My bromance with Sera turned out to be a much more satisfying relationship, though I always played it as my mage having some unrequited feelings for her.

My solo rogue won't romance anyone because he's... well... solo.
My Hero of Ferelden playthroughs have no romances because they have romances from Origins.
My female elf playthrough will probably end in no one being romanced, or at the very least she'll have the Solas breakup. Maybe a Blackwall breakup depending on how it goes.
Inquisitor: "Guys clear the war room! I need some.... Solo time... Some solo rogue time..."
15 roguish min. Later
Leliana: "whys the war table so sticky?"
Cas: "dude...."

I would also like to add that my primary Hero of Ferelden "romanced" Anora. I think she counts as a love interest, at least.

My paranoid "all these humans are out to murder me" elf is already married (and middle aged).
Plus, I don't see her romancing any of the LIs in this game.
