Does anyone know when the rank 6 movement speed bonus of shadow strike is actually applied? Specifically, when you have bonus power are the 4 seconds of bonus speed applied immediately after the shadow strike, or when your cloak actually ends (as the tooltip suggests) or perhaps both? Also, it doesn't seem likely, but does it apply when you decloak from tactical cloak without using SS? I've always wondered about this but have never been able to tell for certain while playing...

 

So, this is really more of a matter of curiosity for me, after all drain is so good I would take it even w/o the speed. That is just icing on the cake.

It says it increases your speed after decloaking, so I assume once you actually become visible again.  I'm not sure though, I always go for pure damage on SS.

It should be that hard to tell the difference between speed increase and decreases from that bonus. I notice it everytime... but I don't yet have her on my new account to test it for you.

Thanks for the replies. I know that it "shouldn't" be that hard to tell when it is active. I just have a hard time convincing myself that it isn't confirmation bias/placebo effect when I see it/don't see it, and hoped somebody from the mustard race might've looked at the code and know for sure.

 

For what it's worth, I feel like I see it immediately after shadow striking and not when I actually "de-cloak" (tac cloak ending). But since I go for movement speed at rank 5 fitness, she is always fast and it's hard to say when she's fast vs even faster, adrenaline mods further muddle the whole affair

I never take that evolution, so I don't know, but I would be shocked if it didn't apply the speed bonus immediately after Shadow Striking.

i dont remember, but speed bonus are fairly easy to feel in game, so, one wave of test should be enough to convince yourself

Immediately after succesful SS. Though IMO you'd be better served with Shield Drain as that can help her squishiness.

@ the Govenator: Just one more variable that changes how fast she feels game to game.

 

@ Mini: Yeah, that seems most likely, the description is just odd (says "after decloaking").

 

@ Oni: The shield drain and movement speed are both on the same evo, you can haz both!
