Which one below is correct please:

1)  Ammo damage bonus is applied to Base weapon damage then added to headshot damage multiplier after.  For example:

(base damage * ammo damage bonus) + (base damage * headshot damage multiplier).

2) Ammo damage bonus is applied to the final damage total multiplier of headshot.   For example:

(base damage * headshot damage multiplier) * ammo damage bonus.

Thanks.

My guess is 1. It's purely guesswork though.

Also, hurray. Canada is about to get on the road to real legalization. Suck it Tories.

Booyeah. Right by virtue of guesswork. That means I'm even more right, I'm like, prescient-right.

It's safe to assume that bonuses are additive rather than multiplicative. Multiplicative damage bonuses would allow math nerds to one-shot Banshees and would be a balancing nightmare, IMHO.

Nice to see there is still so much activity on the Forums! I haven't been here for about two years!

Ammo damage applies to base weapon damage only.  Ammo damage is the same regardless of if you get a headshot or bodyshot.  Only weapon bonuses that are base damage modifiers will increase ammo damage (colloquially the multiplicative bonuses).

The first expression is vaguely correct as total damage applied by a weapon with an ammo active but no other bonuses whatsoever.

In Single Player, all ammo powers have an evolution that increases the headshot multiplier of the weapon when active though, which is a nice bonus.

So basically, ammo damage will be boosted by things like the Cloak weapon-specific bonuses (the R6 bonus, but not the general Cloak damage bonus), race-specific weapon bonuses (Geth or Collector), and pretty much any debuff power.  Correct?

Seems Kalence has this correctly configured as well.

Ammo bonus damage does NOT change with 'normal' passives, regardless of weapon and/or headshot options selected.

But 6b sniper bonus from cloak DOES boost the bonus damage from ammo...but only for sniper rifles of course.
