I have been completing war table new area missions as soon as I can. Now I have just read in the Wiki that areas level to when you complete the corresponding War Table mission not when you first enter them. This means that if you do a war table mission for an area then leave the area alone until your level has, say, doubled it will be particularly easy.

I actually don't want it to be too easy. So now that I understand what's going on I want to resent the areas to the level when I visit them. Is there a way to reset the the areas or War Table missions or something for areas that I have not entered yet?

Wha?

In any case, I think there is a new Trial option in the options menu that will scale all enemies to your level or more. Try that.

Thanks that looks like what I was looking for.

FYI: Up until the trials, every area had a maximum level it could go up to, so war table missions had nothing to do with it

I'm playing with that 'auto-level' trial checked, and sometimes I'm not even sure that it's working. There is more overall exp (I'm 20 where I normally had been ~16-17), but the combat does not feel much harder. Had not tried it on any of the dragons though.

All my new games will always have the "half xp" trial and the "level up enemies" trials on.    Those are huge fixes I wish had been there from the beginning.

Turn on "Walk Softly" as well and things become a bit more difficult.
