I would be more surprised if Fallout 4 didn't win that.

Andromeda is way too far off for people to care all that much compared to games which are only a few weeks away.

Probably not, considering the release-date proximity and historical legacy of the other options.

The whole concept of awards for games that haven't even released yet is ridiculous.

Part of any gaming website's clickbait repertoire for advertising dollars.

"I'm a Spectre, on a steel ship I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive.
"

There are only two titles on that list I would consider getting, and both are EA titles.

A contest for whose game's hype train is running the hardest. Choo-Choo

Call me again when Jade Empire 2 or Cyberpunk 2077 is on that list ...

Jade Empire 2 with all the mechanics we've learned from games like the Arkham series.

Why is this not a thing yet?

Because BioWare hates money?

That'd be the only reason I can think of that makes sense.

But we better stop talking about it. Jade Empire 2 isn't ME:A and we all know how much BioWare most assuredly hates offtopic talk.

Flops usually don't get sequels.

As popular as ME is to it's fans (i.e. pretty loyal fanbase), it doesn't seem that popular on a wider scale.. It's successful, but still gets dwarfed by so much out there. So I don't think it'd win something like this.

The sad thing is that I don't think Jade Empire was marketed properly.

I never even heard of the game until diving into Mass Effect and seeing it mentioned on the ME forums. In contrast I saw loads of TV commercials for all the Mass Effect and Dragon Age games. A TV commercial was what got me interested in Mass Effect prior to release.

I think Fallout or even Battlefront will get most wanted, however I can see Andromeda getting a similar award next year closer to its release.

Part of the problem is BioWare from what I understand is basically having to choose between Dragon Age and Jade Empire because the people that worked on Jade Empire are the same people that worked on Dragon Age.  Now that Inquisition is done and it sounds like the plan is to move to a new area of Thedas with the next game, I would personally like to see a new Jade Empire game done instead of moving straight into a new Dragon Age game.

Well, the other thing too is that, by all accounts Jade Empire flopped. I also think it's as close to my perfect game experience as it gets. The only thing I really feel we missed out on was Phoenix Gate.

As for the poll, too many good choices out there. I'm a sucker for Deus Ex, Halo, Dark Souls, and Zelda in equal measure.

I never realized it flopped, I just remember not liking the second half of the game as much as the first.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is going to be the first game I buy in 2016, for I am looking forward to it about the same as I am with Mass Effect Andromeda.

Mechanics from Arkham? You mean hit triangle repeatedly and win?

The only game on that list I'm interested in is ME:A. That leaves me really depressed about how the gaming is.

There are some other games I'm really looking forward to (Stellaris, HoI4, XCOM2, Torment for example), but still, it's depressing.

Torment: Tides of Numenera

The Mandate

DX: Mankind Divided

XCOM 2

D:OS 2 and Bard's Tale 4 (although those are not coming in 2016)

Plus stuff that's out now or soon will be:  Wasteland 2, Divinity: Original Sin, Fallout 4, Age of Decadence, Shadowrun: Hong Kong.  cRPGs are plentiful right now.
