Wow, this game really turns to **** when you get to the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest.
I've got an 18 page print out that explains how you can finish this.
Does the game end here, or has everyone been able to get past this without any help?

It is not overly difficult if you just want to pass it. It is a bit trickier if you want a specific outcome.

Ran through it less than 10 times, but it's really easy to gain approval with the court. Are you looking for a specific outcome? If you are, it is advised that you grab all of the Halla Statues, because you'll need them to open specific doors that will lead to important key people and objects to unlock more possible outcomes. Make sure you don't use Halla statues recklessly. Once they're used, they're used.

I don't enjoy WE&WH, mostly because of the timed aspect of it. But at least I know how to easily get 100% approval when I play a human and I just go for Celene being the ruler because I don't feel like jumping hoops for anything else. I'm playing an elf for the first time but I still think I can muddle through with Celene ruling in the end. That quest is my least favorite in the game and I dread it so much that I keep putting it off.
The game doesn't end there unless you get kicked out for low approval. There is still quite a bit more to do so you'll have time to get over having a crummy time at the palace.

It should be nearly impossible to fail.
If you want to get 100 approval, you have to work for it (not really, but you do have to pay attention and take note of the specific mechanics), but it's not even close to being required.
Honestly, it's one of the better quests in the game (it promotes more than just "kill things along the way from Point A to Point B to Point C, and maybe make a binary choice at the very end that doesn't really affect anything"). It suffers from being overly condensed (it tries to cover too much), but most of my criticism would be about the implementation (I definitely think some of the mechanics could have been better). But it's easy enough to just walk through it and successfully finish the quest if you find you're not enjoying it.

That one is fairly early on and, really it's a snap to do. No Briala help and, less than an hour to run it, with Briala helped, add fifteen or twenty for Halla gathering and more dialog to do. Biggest thing is learning how to get court approval, and after one or two runs, it's easy.
