In Mass Effect One there are so many great teammates that you can get with their own pros and cons which come with each character. What is you favorite person/persons to take with you on missions and why?

I personalty like Wrex and Tali quite a lot. Wrex is an angry, brash and intimidating Krogan who very much resembles the way my Shepard is and Tali is an interesting character to get to know and I believe that her part in Mass Effect One was totaly underated however she is loyal to Shepard and stopping Saren and is cool to have aroud.

Do you agree with me? Let me know in the comments below?

My favorite would be Kaidan and Wrex... Kaidan because he is an amzing biotic and i love his skill set and he can definitely own it in the battlefield plus he compliments my Vanguard canon shepard and Wrex because he is my tank and well Shepard and Wrex combo can do some hell of a damage. And also i love how Kaidan reacts if im being too renegade which is almost all the time xD and i love most of wrex's comments in ME1... and I usually swap wrex and tali, Tali's really useful and well as you said is quite interesting though i prefer Wrex and Kaidan combo more :)

I'm going to be the boring one and say Kaidan, because he's a beast on the battlefield and when I have him around, I wouldn't really need any other squaddie as he can do completely everything I might wish for - be it biotics, tech, crowd control, disabling charging krogan, healing, hacking, crate opening, etc. I also enjoy his personality because he's a caring, empathetic and smart character that can easily serve as my Shepard's moral compass, but can also be pretty funny and sassy at times and I think that what makes it even more funny is that it sometimes comes completely out of nowhere and in total deadpan. He tends to give advice and insight into the universe, various situations and dialogues. He tells you when you are out of the line or when you do something stupidly naive, but he also supports you in various conversations. He also has an interesting backstory and you can easily tell how it influenced who he is.

I agree about Tali. I think it's perhaps easy to overlook how badass Tali actually is because she doesn't really flaunt it about and, when on the Normandy, is largely a walking codex about quarians and geth. She is also really sweet, has some genuinely interesting things to say, and I find her kind of easy to relate to in some things. Another thing is that Tali is very young. One of the youngest people in the whole crew. She is also a civilian. Yet when you meet her for the first time, she handles herself like a boss. In that scene, Tali proves she is a survivor. She reacts in the blink of an eye and knows exactly what to do when faced with an overwhelming force. If that's not cool, then I don't know what is. I also think she has more layers that aren't immediately visible, because if you drag her through the missions, you get some interesting insight into her character. On Noveria, you can see she may not be such an innocent cupcake she might seem to be at first. I find that great. Tali definitely belongs to my favourites.

I also often take Liara with me on missions. It feels really weird to have an archeologist who had probably never held a gun before along on military missions, though. In many ways, she still feels like a kid. Much more so than Tali, in my opinion, despite being much older than her. It kind of feels like giving a pistol to a kitten. However, I love her skillset. She's incredibly useful on the battlefield and at crowd control. I also must say she's pretty cute, personality-wise, and I really like her voice and the fact she plays an important role in the game's story.

And Wrex. Wrex is definitely awesome. The krogan are probably my favourite ME race and Wrex is a lot of fun to have along. He can be quite aggressive and ruthless, but also surprisingly wise... and all that sass. Sometimes his comments are hilarious simply because he's so brutally honest. I greatly enjoy his attitude, his stories, and his Virmire dilemma makes him quite a deep character. He's the team's juggernaut that can do some serious shooting and that can do a little bit of biotics, too, so he's definitely useful to have.

To be honest, I like all of the companions. But Kaidan is pretty much permanently in my team with my favourite Shep and I mostly tend to combine him with Tali, Liara, or Wrex. I take Ashley and Garrus, as well, sometimes  and I like them, too, but I probably use them least.

Garrus and Wrex are my favorite combo.

Garrus can handle mid to long range with tech skills

Wrex is mid to close range with biotics

I can fill in the gap no matter what class I am playing as.

I use Liara and Wrex the most in ME1 (it is sometimes frustrating because nobody can open locked crates^^), occasionally take Garrus, rarely use Ashley, and almost never use Tali or Kaidan

In every playthrough I like to appoint a "favorite ally," or even two. It's even better if he or she is the LI for ME1 or ME2.

Kaidan always ends up being my favorite to talk to. His voice is so soothing, and his demeanor is so even and calm. He's sensitive, but also practical in his views on things. He seems like the most real person of the whole cast in that he's the type of person you would actually want around as a friend in day to day life.

Garrus is also interesting in that he's clearly intelligent and strong in his own right, but Shepard ends up shaping him considerably in ME1 through talking to him about his past work in C-Sec and pursuing work as a Spectre.

For combat, it's a different story. Wrex and Garrus were my go-to combo, but Garrus/Ashley also worked well.

Reading through this I do feel weird in that I mostly used the specialist, Ashely for soldier, Liara for biotics, and Tali for tech, though as I mostly play soldier I mostly used Liara and Tali.  They had more options within their fields and while they individually didn't have the same flex as the others it was compensated for by Shep and the other squad mate while insuring the option for just about any tech, soldier, or biotic ability that could be needed.  Aside from that I just found Kaiden and Wrex mostly uninteresting and rarely used them.

Still, I did use everyone at least a few times throughout the game based on what I felt the story called for.  Kaiden and Ashley would often help the UNC missions as they were alliance missions, not specter operations.  Wrex has his personal mission and heavy Rachni and Krogan mission always make me consider bringing him along.  Garrus likewise has his own mission and some of the more investigative and law enforcement type mission, ala tracking the ai on the citadel or dealing with the slavers from the citadel tip, and his tech is useful for fighting the geth so he sees more action then the rest of the guys.

And I'll be honest, I'm a guy and if I'm going to spend 20-50 hours watching a couple of backsides as they run after me I would rather see a couple of female butts then some dudes unless I have a good reason not to.

I was Vanguard.

Most: Liara and Kaidan. Liara for centric episodes like Novaria and Ilos, really just throughout the whole main story. Kaidan to establish close working relationship before m/m in ME3.

Some: Tali and Garrus. Tali for unlocking things before Liara and Kaidan are enough, then I mostly drop her. Garrus is just pretty good to have around.

Least: Wrex and Ashley. Wrex sometimes but less than Garrus. Ashley the very least except on something very human centric like Luna and Cerberus sidemissions.

I was not particularly interested in having a Heavy Armored Soldier team. My Vanguard in Medium Armor was enough.

If I was not interested in Kaidan, that Most position would have been replaced by either Wrex or Garrus. And I don't super adore Liara so at least for sidemissions, I was fine with replacing her with whoever.

Wrex and Kaidan. My god, I love these two canonballs on Insanity. Vicious bastards running straight into a fight while I was busy waiting for heatsink to clear, they like to throw people around like ragdolls, putting bullets to where the sun may not shine, and hey, there's acid spewing creepers, pair each with inferno and high explosive shotguns and bam... mass destruction... creepers blown into pieces.... oh wait there's Geth ambush! No you two.... don't... oh okay.... mow through them with your AR and Shotgun in a firework of biotics and tech... I'm fine with my sniper here... go on.... move along....

The problem with Liara, her Singularity screwed me half of the time and most time it send everyone with full health into the wall and you spend more time throwing grenades and hoping they would die from the AOE. Like what, is this SWTOR? Tali is great but her AI Hacking like Singularity, can come at an inconvenient time. Garrus is the one you have to support rather than him acting as your support. He would have been fantastic if he wasn't too squishy. Its hard enough to micromanage your squad as it is. I would love Ashley better if I could manage where her shooting... she's useful if you're Adept or Engineer or Sentinel or when you want someone less squishy in long range fighting but other than that, I'm the one who deal the killshot.

Its hard to say if I have a favorite in ME1.  I enjoy taking my LI and each of the squaddies - it gives me more play-throughs with less repeated conversations.

I had three squads consisting of Liara and Garrus, Wrex and Tali and Kaidan and Ashley. I used Liara and Garrus the most. Brought and mixed Wrex often, I used Tali here and there. Ashly and Kaidan, I almost never used them.

Kaiden is probably the best squad member in ME1. I think he can do literally everything and his skills are useful in nearly every situation. Plus I like his personality. He feels the most focused, level headed, nice, and human character on the Normandy. That man has also saved my Shep quite a few times. I take him on almost all missions. Its also why I save him on Virmire like 95 percent of the time. Then I'd say Garrus and Wrex followed by Tali. I rarely use Ashley or Liara.

My main team on my Sentinel playthrough was Kaidan and Tali, particularly on Geth heavy missions. Kaidan because BroSent and Tali because <3 Tali <3. But with Lift, Throw, Neural Shock and Stasis x2, Overload and Sabotage x3, and AI Hacking (and an explosive shotty for Tali) for good measure, these guys can shut down huge groups of enemies and mop them up as they please.

On my Infiltrator playthrough, I went with Ash and Garrus for sniper team awesomeness, particularly on side missions.

Generally though, I cycle my team pretty often so everyone gets used a fair bit. Liara is always taken on Noveria, though I do use her the least overall.

Tali. <3 Also Wrex and Garrus. I liked ME1 Liara's voice acting and personality much, much more than ME2 and ME3 Liara.

But my team is usually Tali, Wrex, and/or Garrus.

It depends on what class I choose to play as. Tali stays with me pretty much on every mission in ME1 because Geth(and usually, tech access). And she is so important to that story...I get all big sis protector about her. unpopular opinion: I love Ashley. Man I got that chick Spectre class weapons and she was the truth. Plus I get her...I don't always agree with her but I get her.
