Lol wat? Its a shotgun that deals massive damage- you need only get your aiming reticle somewhere in the general vicinity of an enemy to do 500,000 damage (or so).

But yeah you're right... such expert, so skill, much wow.

Liked for this.

Claymore is outstanding in the hands of any Batarian. It's so heavy it does twice the damage as those other puny shotguns when you're beating some creature to death with it. Just bring the Talon along to shoot stuff if you need to.

Thread is due for a claim that you can fire the Claymore faster than the Wraith with reload canceling.

You can fire the Wraith faster, but you have to make the Wraith aim count more for a one shot kills & hope most pellets hit the mark. As not all players are headshot machines or bother with precision aiming during tense moments or always playing accuracy boosting classes - so to these players, I say Claymore. Unless, of course, you aren't playing the weapon and are making use of that higher Wraith cooldown for powers to help out.

easier said than done.

Well no, not really- saying it and doing it are pretty much equally easy. Again, its a shotgun with a huge reticle and massive damage- doesn't exactly take a marksman to effectively kill stuff with it. If we were talking about, say, the Javelin, or even something like the Crusader, you might have a point. But we're not, so you don't.

Any Batarian using a Claymore instead of a Raider is to be considered a traitor to the Hegemony and should have their fingers cut off.

I don't know why the Claymore is that much harder to use than the Wraith.  The only difference skill-wise is that you need to learn how to reload cancel with the Claymore.  Once you master that, there actually isn't even much difference in the fire rate between the two guns.  Claymore allows you to OSK a lot of enemies with a body shot where the Wraith would require a headshot or 2 body shots, so in that sense, the Claymore is easier to use.

The way I see them, the Wraith is better on classes where you need lighter weight, and the Claymore is better on classes where you don't.

Unless I need an anti-gravity gun and some circular saw blades for a trip to Ravenholm.

we don't go to Ravenholm anymore man. I fear what may have become of Father Grigori.

Haven't used the Wraith at all. Perhaps I'll give it try later. I still have the issue of that kickback with the Claymore. Just never been able to handle it, honestly. I remember getting it once in ME2 when you first explore the Collector ship and you have that option...just to be different but never used it.

I think the only shotgun that really takes any skill to use is the Crusader.

With the Claymore or Wraith..you either know how to blast faces off or you don't.

Venom,  just like cluster grenades...skip em like stones on a lake at your enemy...Venom will always have a place in my heart for sending phantoms into orbit.

The point is that objectivity cannot exist in a debate which is entirely subjective in nature - there is no right or wrong, and no top 3, there are only personal preferences.  The numbers might be factual on paper, but you can't include the sound of the weapon in any objective debate, and so supposedly objective statements are rendered moot by the crunch of the High Lord, and the cackle of laughter which often follows it, from either me or my KroSent or QFE.  Have I ever laughed while using a Wraith? I don't remember any occasions at all. Ever.

I get your point, but think that you're pushing it too far. Of course, any human assessment is going to be subjective by nature. However, weapons have invariable characteristics such as range, damage per shot, ability to pierce, register headshots, etc., which could lead to a method of evaluation, if not totally objective, as far as possible from subjectivity. Of course, those "objective" characteristics have nothing to do with the pleasure one can have when using a weapon, and I totally understand that people can have more fun using the Claymore than the Wraith. I, for instance, totally acknowledge the efficiency of the Venom, but don't get much enjoyment from using it, as I have more fun trying to explode heads and aiming as precisely as possible.

In all seriousness, I'm not in either 'clan', and simply prefer the aesthetics of the Claymore, but I've used the Crusader more than it, and the Venom considerably less.  The Venom might be considered one of a supposed objective top 3 because of the ungodly damage and stagger it puts out, but requires very little skill and provides me with minimal enjoyment by comparison with maybe 6 other Shotguns. If I want to subject myself to a charge-up weapon which needs to be fired at feet, I need a much lighter one and a Justicar to make it fun.

Grunt please, it's BSN, you must choose a clan, you're either with us or against us. Then, when you encounter someone from the other side, you must defy them in the Thunderdome. At the end, the player with the highest score is considered to be right, even if their arguments were dumb. :P  :D

Its not just about skill. I think claymore is much more fun. I like fun i like exciting moments. Claymore is both risky and rewarding. Its a good "OH YEAH" feeling when i make a good hit and a one shot kill with it. But i can also laugh my ass off when i miss the shot and the "OH ****" panic is there. For me thats much more fun then a Wraith, or the usage of rapid fire weapon where i can constantly correct my aim with zero risk.

It's also a great thing i can one shot kill on non infiltrator or non soldier classes.

Wrong. On Gold the Wraith requires more skill, since you can take out Gold enemies with Claymore by simple blowing off any mook toe of your choice or beer in your system's choice. Meanwhile Wraith requires precision headshots with most pellets hitting the mark for a clean kill on Gold.

On Platinum it's a different story. One Claymore to rule them all.

Wraith on gold does the same thing on a winfiltrator, which is what everyone uses it on anyway (usually GI). If you are using it on some caster than yeah, you need some of the pellets to hit the head (without cloak it still does around 3000 ish damage, meaning it will almost bodyshot most shielded mooks and easily bodyshot unshielded ones), but then you can always cast a lock on, home in power to finish the enemy no problem and no aiming skill required anyway.

IMO, it's actually plat where the tincan often fails to kill in one hit and the Claymoar reigns supreme by maintaining OHK's on most humanoids while having higher boss DPS (powers excluded, obviously). Wraith tears through the weak gold humanoids more efficiently due to higher ROF, although much, much less stylishly.

Lol wat? Its a shotgun that deals massive damage- you need only get your aiming reticle somewhere in the general vicinity of an enemy to do 500,000 damage (or so).

But yeah you're right... such expert, so skill, much wow.

It isn't just aiming, which isn't remotely difficult with any shotgun on this game bar the Crusader, Graal or a MMed Raider (and it isn't that difficult with any of those either). It's manipulating the reload animation. On the Wraith, you only have to deal with it once every two shots and it is so short it needn't really even be canceled and you'll still keep 80% of your DPS, and since you have two shots, half the time when you miss (which you will because you're a tincan scrub) you can use a stagger crutch power to recover at no cost. On the Claymoar you must cancel/ hide every shot and not use powers recklessly and out of sequence unless you want to be out DPSed by an Eviscerator. Further, even the perfectly canceled/hidden animation leaves you vulnerable, walking at a snail's pace for nearly 2 seconds. Wraith's mobility lets you run and gun with abandon, shoot then dodge into cover. With Claymoar, you have to constantly be thinking ahead to kill quickly and efficiently. If you aren't, you waste tons of time attempting to reload it or eating dirt because you didn't think ahead and shot at the wrong threat. It's the mobility that is the main reason that Claymoar isn't as loved by soloists, you have to kill instead of hide, and you can't make mistakes.

Wraith is undeniably easier to get the most out of. You point it and shoot, and even if you miss you just run and hide Claymoar requires headknowledge™ to use at 100%. It's skill curve is undeniably higher, which is why pugs never use it but they love them some tincan.

OP is 100% unequivocally correct. High Lord is the Master Race, and His people the chosen ones. Anyone who disagrees is a wraith/venom scrub defending their false deity.

I have to get my fix before Battlefront comes out in a month and I go onto their forums to verbosely talk shіt about how everyone who uses the DLT-19 is a scrub who can't aim and how truly skilled players use the E-11.

I only have 3 fingers and you have no idea how hard it is to type on an omnitool when you have no tactile feel because your hands are covered by an envirosuit. Git gud baddie.

Trying to explain love for the Claymore to Wraith fanboys is like trying to explain why it's more satisfying to kill a housefly with a flamethrower than a fly swatter. Same people look at me weird when I nuke a lone swarmer for justice. DPS, efficiency, cooldown, weight be damned. Why? Because GODDAMN KABOOM the enemy should feel like it's been hit with a mack truck when they die not a damn ford fiesta.
