To be fair, somewhat accurate aiming and reload cancelling, by the standards of most pugs I play with, are indeed specialized, elite tier skillsets.

It takes no skill to shoot the ground with a grenade launcher. Also the "aim crutch" you speak of doesn't help at all. I prefer not to ADS anyways and just shoot the Claymore from the hip as it's more stylish that way  .

I think you like reading your own posts about claymore. I was neither talking about claymore nor console auto-aim. Use that head knowllegde of yours.

Everyone says the Venom takes no aim, yet I miss all the time with it.

 

Is it a host dependent weapon? Or is there suckage happening?

 

I've been in many games with Q5y where he effectively roflstomps the game with it, so i know it is possible ...

monkey read, monkey type. they haven`t actually tried the venom, just heard from a guy, that know a guy, that saw a guy read on a forum that some guy said he heard the venom needs no aim

That makes sense, because the first time I tried it (after reading about how it was such easy mode on BSN), I thought it would be like the Acolyte, but it does require more precision than that

No, it really is as easy as aiming in front of their feet. Charge shots you simply aim a meter or two in front of the spawn and rack up the killstreaks. 

A gun that braindead easy to use shouldn't do anywhere near that much damage. It'd be like the Adas or Falcon hitting as hard as the Saber, or the Krysae hitting like a Black Widow (oh wait, that used to actually happen).

Yes. I've had so many of my uncharged shots that weren't registered by the game (even in... solos !) that I've basically given up on them. I even get a little part of my charged shots that isn't counted.

Yes, aim right infront of them. Expect some uncharged shots to do nothing, even on host.

When the venom is concerned yes. Yer known to get touchy when people belittle the venom in any way. I remember a venom bash thread a while back where I asked you why do you get so touchy over the venom and you said because you love the gun.... I'll find it.  There's no obsession at all. I just find it amusing how you can't handle little venom jabs and get offended

The Venom is cool. Every now and then I like to fire up the testosterone fueled rage machine. AKA: Destroyer running Nuke's speedy no devastator mode build. Grenade maximum capacity + Venom = When I'm on Jade, players in different lobby on Giant are getting screen shake. Priceless.

 

I still use the Claymore but nowhere near as much as when I first started playing. It gets equipped mostly for nostalgic reasons these days.

All this Venom discussion reminds me that I used to roll with it *a bunch* but one day I just...stopped. I guess I got burnt out on it or something to that effect. The screen shake it causes other players is atrocious though. Luckily I rarely encounter other players using it in PUGs.

Lol wat? Its a shotgun that deals massive damage- you need only get your aiming reticle somewhere in the general vicinity of an enemy to do 500,000 damage (or so).

 

But yeah you're right... such expert, so skill, much wow.

Bar the hurricane and weapons that don't ordinarily have the ability to headshot, I find it easier to headshot using any non-shotgun, than I do with shotguns.

I suppose this is why everyone admits to having trouble killing things with the Claymore, and no one ever says the same about the Venom.

OP is 100% unequivocally correct. 

Don't tell me, I agreed with the OP- only the most elite snipers can kill things with a Claymore.

Claymore only takes skill to use insofar as having to reload after each shot. So, if you have bad aim, Cannibals will eat your face. If you can hit them, they die. Then again, that's true for any weapon lol yeah?

 

It's not my favorite shotgun, but Clay all the way over Wraith. I hate it and Eviscerator with a passion. If I have two shots but can't do a double tap because of the two weeks I have to wait in between shots, then what's the point? Thanks, I'll stick to destroying enemy skulls from three feet away with the High Lord. Also, the Claymore/Wraith debate (lol) is a choice between a gun that goes pew------pew and a gun that goes PHREEEEWWWWW. Claymore wins.
