What do you mean?

This :

... better to aim them right at the enemies...

+
arc genades cannot bounce anyway and detonate on any surface contact.
That the power of the gnades are uniform along the radius, even through solid objects like walls, bouncing it off wall doesn't increase the effect like with a acolyte

...And maybe I'll learn something new about gnades if you say there is a better way for arc gnades

PS of course if u have problem with aiming & hitting a spot, then it would b better 2 aim 4 their feet - but I haven't had that prob since a while

Well, the BatSol is a powerhouse too, alright. I find it a great killer in pugs matches, but I think it suffers a bit if you're in a group of good players, because a lot of his damage comes in the form of dot. Compared to the Drell, he's capable of the same amount of destruction, but the one created by the latter happens RIGHT NAO. It's a huge difference when everything on the map is going down 5 secs after spawning.

This is a good point.  If I'm playing in a group of typical Gold PUGs, I usually score pretty well with the BatSol, because the PUGs aren't doing that much damage that quickly anyway.  And I think the BatSol is one of the easiest classes to solo with (you're on your own clock there).  But I never keep up with a really good player if I'm using the BatSol.

Funny story - I was using a BatSol in a PUG game with a massive scorewh**e TGI who couldn't stand that I was beating him on the scoreboard.  He was doing everything in his power to climb into that #1 spot.  At one point, every time he saw me chuck a couple of Inferno grenades into a spawn, he would immediately pull out a rocket and nuke the spawn to deprive me of the points.  Seriously, I don't think he used a missile on anything the entire game unless I had chucked a few grenades at it first.

I think this is closer to the truth.  I don't consider being able to click at an inhumanly fast rate to be "skill."

It only fires at 400 RPM. 6 times a second isn't insanely fast, though maintaining accuracy with a faster firing semiauto is definitely a skill compared to simply holding the trigger and walking onto the target, which is why you see so many people complaining about the Raptor being one of the worst weapons in the game despite its Mattock like stats, while I have outscored good players using Javelins and Widows with it. I had a 20 min (i.e. decent teammates by console standards) Gold-Hydra-Geth pug earlier today where I went 245k with 75+ sniper kills using it. It's a fantastic weapon for being an uncommon.

Try some of Counterstrike's pistols or COD's semiautomatic assault rifles if you want inhumanly fast.

Maybe I'm old, but 400RPM is pretty fast to me (with an XBox controller at least).  I don't have any problem maintaining accuracy while firing as fast as I can, but then again, I can't fire that fast.  I guess if you actually can fire 400RPM, it might be hard to maintain accuracy, so you have a point there.

And what are these Counterstrike and COD you speak of?  You mean there are other games besides the Mass Effect games?

Before power boosting passives/equipment I'd agree with this. However, with power amp 4/power mod on SMG or pistol and power passives you'd have to go full sleep mode to not dominate kills and score. Not saying you or Deerber are wrong but it *is* possible to kill damn near everything with DoT while playing with competent players.

As for your story? Lol. I've noticed a trend on PS3 with TGIs who are this way. I find it hilarious TBH. You should have nuked wave 11 spawns and told him you felt horrible he had to save the squad with well placed missiles so you were returning the favor. All for one and one for all right?

Yeah well, it depends on what you mean by competent players. If they're competent and you're very very good, chances are you can still kill more than they do. If they're on about your same skill level though, and they're playing a massive destruction kit like a Drelldept, chances are you're gonna lag behind, at least a little bit.

Plus, it is something that really depends on how fast things die. Playing with one competent or even very good player in the team is one thing, and I don't think it affects the BatSol too much, since he is just so powerful. But when the very good players become 3 or 4... Things change. It's very rare at this moment of the game's life, I know, but there was a time when most of the games I took part in were 12-13 mins no rocket games. And well, based on the experience I had in those games, there just isn't time enough to kill with infernos... You could still kill with guns and BB, of course, but that's clearly slower than reave + clusters + guns or any other similar combo.

Wraith is tops (use it the most)

I use the Piranha, Venom and Reegar quite a bit (FQI, FQE, and AIU mostly)

The GPS and Claymore are fun

Crusader is an easy challenge to grind, but I don't use it much otherwise

Graal is a painful challenge to grind, but tolerable (especially if I'm hosting)

Don't use the others much (although I did manage 200000 points with the Disciple apparently)

From the best to the worst :

Wraith : 9,5. Not 10 because of the delay between 2 shots.

Crusader : 9.

Claymore : 8,5.

Venom : 8,5.

Reegar : 8.

GPS and Graal : 7,5.

Piranha and Raider : 7.

Eviscerator : 5.

Disciple : 4.

Katana : 3.

Scimitar : 2.

You have to keep on target with a weapon that's firing as fast as your fingers can move while at the same time finding and maintaining a good position to hold the controller while also compensating for the fact that your fingers get more and more tired as the match draws on. It's a skill.

I want to say claymore is at the top alone but if I'm in a U/U pug lobby with greenhorns I feel a lot more comfortable bringing a venom. That may push it to the top spot for me. I really like the scimitar on melee focused vanguards. I like it more than the other lower tier shotguns.

Deerber, it's such a shame you're one of the mustard race, because reading the last few posts by people on my PS3 friends list, I can sense the possibility of an above-average Drell squad wreaking some havoc the next time we're all on at the same time. I don't think Stephen has ever played with TMB, and I have to help put that right. I imagine he would get the hang of the DAI very quickly, given his Infiltrator preferences, but it's true - everyone deserves to see the DrellGod done right, and on PS3 there is no better man than TMB for that particular job. Console scrubs FTW!  :D

I would be so down for this. I can never get an entire lobby to do a themed drell-only match. On a related note, I used to play my drellgod as a shotgun specialist with clusters but now I play a (light) weapons-focused pullguard. I would happily realign my focus for a shotgun-to-face type of drell game though. If you need a 4th count me in.

I'd like to like Drell... I love their speed, I love their potential, and I don't care about the shields.. It's just I can never get the DAI build right, and I couldn't aim a cluster grenade to save my life (which is usually what is needed as a drell). I respect drell, and I like to play with competent drell (most drell PUGs are just corpses waiting to happen though).

Another tip for CG's (besides the very accurate 'get super close' strategy) is to practice controlling the flight of the CG's when you are away from your targets.

You can accomplish this by your characters movement at the time of throwing the CG fragments. If you lean your character forward while throwing them, the fragments will stay tighter together. If you lean your character back while throwing, the fragments tend to spread more.

Once you do this for a bit, it will become second nature to you and you will instinctively manipulate your Drell (or Batdept) to throw the CGs with much more accuracy.

Also, practice using any obstacles (desks / walls / etc) to do bank shots. It won't take long before you are landing more CG fragments at your intended locations by following these tips. Then you will truly understand the power of the dark side .. oh wait, I mean the power of the Drell .. guess I have Star Wars on my mind

Because it works ok if you're headshotting a trooper, but if you're against anything with armor you might as well be blowing them kisses.

Crusader: discount sniper, think I'll just use a sniper

Katana: well, it's in the game, I guess
