That's true. The player makes the outcome. I had another account to play as a low level character in God of War Ascension and I could beat higher level ones.
Same in Assassin's Creed. I didn't have such a high Prestige Level and I often used to beat higher Prestiges.

But what about the Power Transfer from Hardened Platform? Rank 6.

Yeah, steer clear of the Juggie, the Sexbot and the TGI abomination, at least for the first couple hundred hours. They teach very bad habits.

In any case, I made it to lvl 15 in 2 hours, so I guess I'll still be able to try out different things in this game until there ![]()

Hey OP, I'd recommend saving up to buy a more expensive pack with guaranteed rare cards.
You have a build up of several matches worth of missiles / med gels, etc. .. as long as you have those do consider buying the occasional more expensive pack as that is how you will unlock new and powerful weapons / characters.
As long as you have those consumables to use every match, try to get rare cards. if you're really lucky, you may even get an Ultra Rare weapon .. most of them are quite good.

Redoing everything or just mixing in another soundtrack? That can be a bummer of work (anybody that cut videos knows how much work it could be - even if u have a professional tool like adobe premiere happening to lie around). I noticed some of his builds were pre buff/nerf so one had to think- with a bit. On Monetization : The only detrimental thing is that publishers is payed by the CTR and total watch time , and that last one explains why we don't see chapter markers to jump within a video. So analog retro.
Isn't The Orchard a better place to monetize than U4G?
Sorry didn't catch this reply...
From what I understand, he's generating new vids for each character build. I didn't examine this particularly closely, but in his newest submissions his manifest appears to be maxed. That certainly wasn't the case back in the day...so that's my "evidence" currently.

Ah come on Fire, admit it - there's nothing like a bit of special Krogan attention! RARRRRR!!!!!
I won't deny that. Some of the most fun games are 4 krogans head-butting between waves.
I understand but I read the whole Wiki about the Jug and he seems so fun and beastly
After I get tired of it I can always go back to normal characters. Afaik you can still use the RHA with it. Or you can't?
A lot of people seem to forget about RHA when playing as a jugg and wonder why they get downed.

OP, I'll reiterate my previous point. If the AHF guys are dragging you thru platinum for credits, do yourself a favor and buy some more expensive packs with guaranteed rare cards. that is how you unlock the best items.
As long as you have consumables to use every match, buy the 60k or 99K packs. When your consumables start to run low, buy the smaller credit packs to resupply (honestly JEPs are actually quite good value for any level of manifest)

We only did that once. The other matches were all on Silver, where I could do well enough (I feel at times, but people got me back up).
I'm following a guide that recomends maxing out commons first, then uncommons, and so on:

I'm following a guide that recomends maxing out commons first, then uncommons, and so on:
First off, you don't have to qualify your statements by saying you dropped and were revived, everyone who plays this game gets dropped, so no worries.
Now I'm going to say something which has caused a stir on BSN several times over the past 2 years. Those guides for starting new accounts are not fully accurate, they have been assembled by the very best players, who have thousands of hours of playtime. For those players, it is easy accumulating credits in Gold / Platinum using vanilla kits with no gear / consumables. The vast majority of the player base, especially newer players, are not capable of doing that. It takes them much longer to acquire the amount of credits for this strategy.
I have started 21 alternate accounts, with playtimes varying between 3 - 90 hours on each (my main account has roughly 900). I have tried expanding my manifest per the instruction you have linked. I have also tried other methods.
There are significant differences between an experienced player starting a new account and a new player. I'm not going to bother elaborating on these as this post is long enough without ..
Ultimately, you need to acquire manifest value per credit spent. If you choose to follow the instructions you have linked, after 20 - 40 hours of gameplay you will have over 150 of each in game consumable and roughly 300 level 1 armor / weapon / ammo consumables, but you will only have between 2 - 4 rare cards. I personally see this as a wasted investment, as you have now accumulated 100 - 200 matches worth of consumables. What's the point of having that many credits worth of consumables that you cant use in the short term? Especially when some of the credits used to provide those consumables could be used to add rare cards to your manifest.
Almost all the best weapons, gear and characters come from the rare cards. They are also the cards which each offer the %7.5 at the jackpot, the Ultra Rare weapons.
The big key to this game is the use of consumables; as long as you have a reserve supply of 10+ matches, you should be looking to purchase packs which add the real goodies to your manifest, the rare card. Remember, the ultimate goal should be manifest value per credit spent, so having 200 missiles when you only have the capacity to use 2 per match is wasteful, once you consider those credits could have been used to acquire more powerful weapons / kits / gear. I can only imagine, as a new player, wanting to try out different characters and guns you see others using, know that if you follow those posted instructions, you will not get any for quite a long time.
The logic behind your posted method is to avoid getting uncommon weapons / characters from the higher value packs in place of the level II & III consumables that can be had there. Who cares, I submit that is irrelevant, as long as you have enough consumables stored to last for 10+ matches, then that 60k pack will provide you with 2 guaranteed silver cards and the 1 rare card (again, with that %7.5 chance at a UR) .. this will still move you in the direction of maxing your uncommon's while also providing a rare card. The sacrifice of rare cards to prevent the handful of silver weapons / characters that would drop is too high, especially when you have an oversupply of consumables which can't be used.
Also note, uncommon gear and weapon mods often will not drop from vet packs, you end up having to acquire them thru the more expensive packs anyways.
Again, the key here is for manifest value per credit spent. One of the most important in-game items you need to effectively do higher difficulties, is to raise you base per match consumable supply from 2 to 6. 6 Med gels is a significant difference compared to using 2; and to upgrade these in game consumables comes from rare cards.
True story, a new player posted here last year and got the same advice you have gotten, 2 weeks later they posted again asking why they haven't been able to complete the uncommon gears with buying veteran packs. I looked at their manifest and they had over 700 in game consumables stored and exactly 1 rare gun unlocked .. poor guy. Ended up with half a million of credits in consumables while still being forced to use uncommon weapons and characters .. I'm sure he was getting bored of the no diversity. Buy hey, at least he avoided the chance of having an uncommon weapon or character drop from a higher value pack ..

Dude, I must admit that after reading this detailed post, it makes sense. I already have around 20 to 40 consumables because I've been buying recruit packs like crazy.
I understand your logic, but it's not clear how to apply it.
What do you recommend, in practical terms? Which packs to buy? I know that when I'm low on consumables, I should buy some RP and VPs, but aside from that, what do I buy?
Thanks!

Honestly, as to what packs to buy is mostly a trial and error experience. I just wanted to point out the principle of value per credit spent.
Beginning with several 5k packs is a good way to start, as this will give you a base of consumables (both in match ones and pre match ones). The odd veteran pack is ok, but overall IMO the weakest of the packs re value. You can acquire uncommon cards from 60k packs, while also working on your rare cards. However doing this will net you less in game consumables. So it is a balancing act.
After you have mostly maxed you commons (because that doesn't take too long), you should start working on the uncommons and rares, hence the 60k and 99k packs. One of the best value packs in this game is one that won't net you any weapons or characters, the 33K jumbo equipment pack, these are really valuable once you start regularly buying higher value packs as these will re-supply all your types of consumables .. hands down the best pack for consumables*.
Until you hit roughly the 100 hours played mark, buy some occasional lower value packs and mix in any packs containing guaranteed rare cards. The big key here is to make sure you have enough consumables that you can use liberally in matches, if you ever get to a point where you are debating whether you should use that rocket / med gel / etc, then you don't have enough.
*If you have a mostly maxed manifest then this may not apply - as I'm sure the veteran players are aware

Actually, when you're really low on consumables you want to buy a few Jumbo Equipment Packs- you get 5 Ops packs, 5 Thermal clips, 5 Medi-gels, and 5 Missiles, as well as 6 random consumables (ammo types, cyclonics, weapon amps, etc.) for 33k. But as Max said, you look like you've got several matches-worth of these, as well as a few of each ammo power, whereas you have no Rare or Ultra-Rare weapons, which will make Gold+ really tough. In general, the strategy of maxing Commons with Recruit Packs, Uncommons with Veteran Packs, etc. is a good one, but its usually a good idea to buy one or two Arsenal Packs just so you get a couple of Rare guns to work with. The Rare guns are generally WAY better than the Common or Uncommons. And once you have a couple decent guns to use, you can go back to the more systematic RP/VP spam to max your lower level guns and work your way up the ladder.
You can also do the same thing if you want/need a couple different/better characters- buy a Reserve Pack or two- but the difference between the Common/Uncommon characters and the Rare ones is not anywhere near as stark as that between the Common/Uncommon and Rare guns. Most of the Common/Uncommon characters are every bit as good as the Rare ones (indeed, the Drell Adept, Turian Soldier/Sentinel, and Asari Vanguard are among the very best kits in the game- and they're all uncommon, not rare), whereas there simply is no comparison between the good Rare guns and ANY of the Common/Uncommon guns.
So, in more concrete/specific terms- the next time you have the credits, buy an Arsenal Pack or two. Then go back to spamming your RP/VP packs. When you've maxed your Commons, stop buying RPs and focus on VPs. When you max your Uncommons, stop buying VPs and move up to the 99k packs. And if you notice you're getting low on consumables, buy a few JEPs.

Ocasional buy Reserve and Ardenal mixing some consumables packs (recruit, veteran and jumbo).
It'd really feel better to have a bigger variety of weapons and classes, but mostly gear. I don't have gear yet :/
But then again, I started 2 days ago
