Ranger. I want to summon pets. And judging by what DAI has done to bears, I really want to summon bears.
Specializations you want to see back in DA 4

But keep in mind that if the game is set in tevinter some specs make less sense or would be a rarity like Templar as there are probably no actual templars as we know them out there. Champion but be more of a berserker type like the qunari shock trooper?
I would love more specializations and possibility to dual spec maybe even cross class but that means more work and game combat mechanics design.
But things that make sense in tevinter Navarra etc:
Rogue:
assassin
Duelist
Artificer / "getlock master"
Shadow
Warrior :
Beserker / (reaver abilities never gets old) but I think they should make reaver a bit more diverse in abilities and not as a dragon rage spam machine
-honor guard / paladin
-Ranger (dw or bow)
-Avvar?
Mage :
-blood Mage
-keeper (probably not gonna happen as you have have to be elf to spec here)
-wild Mage (like saarebas with emphasis on force powers)
-necromancer (spirit mage)
Special dual classes selection? :
You should be able to specialize as arcane warrior If you take something like honor guard in addition to being a Mage. Or even two handed aw if you take berserker or avvar.
Swashbuckler (buffed up duelist) if you have skills in a rogue and warrior class.
Illusionist if you make a combo of Mage and rogue abilities.

My favorites, based on class:
Warrior: Champion
Rogue: Assassin
Mage: Knight-Enchanter

Specialisations in:
Reaver (its origins stole my heart)
Berserker (the fact that my fav spec. was merged with Berserker made me so darn mad)
Champion (it's all but unbeatable)
Assassin (dat assassin, tho)
Tempest (playing it blew me away)
Shadow (back in DA2 it eclipsed needing a tank)
Blood Mage (my blood boiled when I found out it wasn't going to be in the game)
Necromancer (it gives new life to boring combat)
Shapeshifter (can't think of a joke, but it was really fun in Origins, and I know it could be so much better if they remade it)
Specialisations out:
Templar (I have no faith in it as a fun spec.)
Artificer (such a shitty, useless specialisation... it's a trap!)
Force Mage (I wasn't compelled to play it once, not even solely for the Unbreakable ability)
Arcane Warrior (it's too obscure to be a viable option, even in Tevinter because it would be)
Rift Mage (a thinly veiled attempt at rehashing Force Mage)
Knight-Enchanter (many a-player has been beguiled by the allure of this overpowered skill tree... me for one)

Spirit healer.
Shapeshifter if they can get it to work... kinda didn't work well in origins so.. *shrug*
Those are my big ones. I think....

Warrior
Reaver
Spirit Warrior
I like Templar, but since Tevinter templars don't use anti-magic, I think it should be set aside for DA4. Mostly I think warriors need a new spec though. It's the only class that's just recycled the same ones since DAO (except Awakening).
Mage
Blood Mage (it's Tevinter!)
Spirit Healer
Force Mage
Knight Enchanter (but without sucking force mage spells into it - keep only the unique stuff!).
I'd love to have Keeper back, but not for DA4. If we can play an elf, they probably won't be Dalish, and I really want to finally use this spec as an actual Dalish First. Shapeshifter would also be interesting if they overhauled it so it didn't suck. I really like the idea of shapeshifting.
Rogue
Duelist
Shadow
Artificer
Ranger
Assassin
Tempest
I wouldn't mind having Bard back if they overhauled it, so the talents are something other than screechy pink clouds of stat-boosting. Something more like the assassin-spy-agent that Leliana says they are.

Blood Magic, Keeper Magic and Magic in general should return to DA4. No more of this basic fire, ice and lightning ish.

Berserker
Champion
Reaver
Templar
Rogue:
Artificer

Arcane Warrior
Force Mage
Shapeshifter (reworked so it doesn't suck)
Spirit Healer
These and,
Blood Mage. And DAO/DA2 spell trees to mages generally.

Warrior
- Berserker
- Champion
- Vanguard
Rogue
- Assassin (my go 2)
- Ranger (I want my spider back!)
- Artificer (love bombs and traps)
Note: I would love a class that combines Assassin and artificer, but then it would be really OP imo but alot of fun.
Mage- tbh it doesn't matter to me that much, I don't play as a mage that often. Although I would like spirit healer back, oh and shapeshifter so I can turn into a spider again

A mode (Rampage) that changes the character's whole body into a dark color with flames coming out?
DRAGON CLAWS??
Keep up the good work.
I actually liked it for that reason, partly. It was good for role-playing since not every character would want to do something like drink dragon's blood. I also liked it because at the time, sending myself into a willing frenzy was something I could very much relate too. Plus, so much damage on a dual-dagger warrior was awesome.
And Shapeshifter, well, I said revamped
Yeah, we definitely need shapeshifter back.

Well, first of all I would prefer companions to have their own specializations like in DA2. A mix of existing specializations but not a direct copy like in DAO or DAI.
For the PC, I would like the warrior to have some new options, as they're specializations have been fairly static throughout the games.
For what would fit in a Tevinter setting, I think spirit warrior could work, as could reaver. For mages, blood mage is almost guaranteed, as is necromancer. I would say spirit healer, if Bio decides to bring healing back to the game. And maybe battlemage.
For thieves, assassin and shadow would make sense. Maybe duelist. And I could see artificer and tempest but am not too keen on them returning.

I like hybrid classes, so bring back Arcane Warrior or Knight Enchanter as a mage/fighter, Legionaire Scout as a rogue/fighter, and some sort of rogue/mage. Also Shapeshifter, I love Shapeshifter.

I'd like to see a true Arcane Warrior return, not the Knight-Enchanter (or both)
Personally, I preferred Knight-Enchanter over Arcane Warrior. Really, the latter was what the former should have been.
I really want to see Blood Mage come back.

Mage
-Blood Mage (offensive focus, DPS, AOE, DOT, health-draining)
-Necromancer (summoning focus: conjuring corpses/spirits, CC, debuffing)
-Spirit Healer (healing/defensive focus: healing and buffing allies)
Warrior
-Berserker (DPS and speed focus)
-Reaver (DPS and traditional Reaver aspect of fighting harder when you're more injured)
-Champion (Defense, tanking, CC)
Rogue
-Assassin (DPS and debuff focus)
-Shadow (Buffing allies, debuffing enemies, CC, AOE)
That said, I'd like to see at least one new specialization for each class. Also, no Templar specialization in Tevinter...Templars don't use lyrium in Tevinter. Combine the buffs from previous Templar trees with the Champion tree.

Force Mage, Ranger, Bard, Beserker.
Wouldn't it be cool if a Bard can actually sing a selection of real songs during battle? Y'know, like the songs your minstrel sings at the tavern.
Activate a sustained mode to start singing a song, and deactivate it to stop.

Warrior:
- Reaver - It wouldn't make sense to not have this in Tevinter, isn't this where the class began? (also I adore it and its lore)
- Spirit Warrior - I could see Tevinters using something similar.
- Berserker - I'd like to see this return if we can't have the reaver one.
- Templar- I'd like to see the difference between a Tevinter Templar and Southern Templar. I think it'd be more defesive like a champion class rather then the Templar we know and love.
Rouge:
- Ranger: But give us something new to summon, like a wyvern or something just as awesome. (dragon is a stupid thing to wish for but imagine being able to summon a dragon!)
- Duelist: No reason I just liked it.
- Assassin: Again no real reason I just liked it.
- Tempest: I liked the lore behind it, I just feel it needs improvement. Not sure how *shrugs*
Mage:
- Arcane warrior / Knight - Enchanter: Tevinter stole a lot from the elves I'd be surprised not to find this in the new game.
- Blood Mage: This is just expected, But give us some "good" blood magic like maybe healing or something? I dunno It can't be all bad.
- Necromancer: But make it more useful, I'm not sure how you'd do that but maybe being able to raise multiple bodies like how a ranger summons a wolf or something?
I'd also like the ability to specialize in two areas as Hawke did.

Because bards (as in, Dragon Age bards) don't actually work like that.
The spec in Origins was just conventional fantasy padding, meant to appeal to fans of the old CRPGs while they tested the waters with their own lore. Same with Ranger.

Spirit Warrior is at the top of my list. Always loved the concept of that one and was massively disappointed it wasn't included in DAI. Could have had some real story potential given the whole, tears in the veil, thing.
I always preferred Berserker to Reaver but I feel Reaver should definitely make a return in Tevinter. So, you know, both.
I'd like to see a comeback for Duelist and Shadows for rogues. I'd be perfectly happy with never seeing Artificer and Tempest again; I didn't care for either of them. I'd also like to see a templar rogue specialization; we've seen templar archers and hunters for two games now. I don't see why it should be limited to warriors. As well, I'd like to see a rogue equivalent to Spirit Warrior.
For mages, I think Blood Mage should definitely make a return. I was also a fan of Force Mage; wouldn't mind seeing that come back.

Yes for Force Mage because that was so fun to have in DA2. I sorta miss that spirit healer class from DAO because Cleansing Aura was clutch. I doubt they'd bring it back though...since mages either stopped learning it or whatever the real reason is lol
Rift Mage?

Shapeshifter. Just look at all of the animal types in Inquisition. It'd be fun to transform into them, and it's now technologically more feasible than ever.

Cassandra mentioned her uncle is a Mortalitasi(Death Mages) in DAI, perhaps this will be one of the mages' specializations.
Your Necromancer teacher is a Mortalitasi ...not sure if they will rename it ...
