You needed to recruit some more to your cause. I don't see it happen in online much though, but community opinion sometimes gets around for some games.

If you can't beat them though, join them. :\

SFIII is an old game. Everyone knows the score. People use Chun Li and Ken because they're the strongest characters, not because they're everyone's favorite characters.

I know.. and if you're sitting down with all of them, you should get some group consensus. Or not, if you do fine anyways. Whatever.

I think it's easier offline. As for MP, I see community opinion matters a bit more with MMOs. A lot of people connected with guilds or forums. FPS not so much.

I still love pretty much everything about the ME3 multiplayer. Combat wise, I kind of just want a more advanced version of that. Better graphics, new character builds and skills, and a lot fewer bugs, and I'm happy.

All of this. Keep it far away from DA:I multiplayer. Also, don't diminish SP for the sake of MP.

But it keeps me coming back because it gives me the crappiest guns first and then the good ones !

I'm not quite sure why you guys are so upset about OP kits, it's a co-op multiplayer, unless you are one of those that care so much about being first on the score board then they just help you complete the mission, personally my favorite kit was Drell Assasin with a Piranha and that lovely, lovely mine.

Hah that it doesn't influence single player.

My first request in all things Mass Effect multiplayer related will always be playable Rachni, Hanar, and Elcor (serious non-joke kits too).

If the campaign is going to remain human centric with "daddy issues", and trending social topics being the focus at the expense of the 'other' elements of the setting, then the least the devs can do is let us run around as the 'alien' aliens in a multiplayer environment (IMO).

Well, first rule is to stay alive.

The second rule is to avoid playing as a lone wolf.

Third rule is avoid staying too long in any one place.... those computer opponents are sneaky and will flank you.

Fourth rule is take cover !!!

In replaying MP after a two year hiatus, I find the Krogan's side to side movement too clunky... same with the Turians.. and the Drell is so squiiishy.. Yuk!  I've tried to play the Drell Assassin after  i saw your post... I just can't play him...

Interesting enough, I notice many players get comfortable with a character or two and play with them over and over. Is this a weakness of the game or player? Will ME:A MP change anything?

Playing a few kits over and over is fine if you really like them, considering how many hours I've put into the MP then to me it was a huge success, sometimes you will discover a new flavor you really love and you go on from there !

As for the Drell being squishy, it really doesn't matter, on gold/plat all that keep you alive is the shield gate thing, so he is just as tough as everyone else, I just love to spawn kill all the weaker enemies with one mine or two depending on the diff, then use my mine to debuff the stronger stuff and wreck them with my piranha !

Aside from the standard Horde mode I really want missions with set layouts from point A to B.

I hope to god they have learned from the successes of ME3 and the failures of DAIMP.  I do fear for MEAMP though because of the use of the frosbite engine that though pretty seemed like a HUGE step back as far as how MP was presented.

I am also afraid, DAMP was VERY bugged, I really hope they will learn from it, the DAMP style missions could a fun other mode though, promotions too but just not as crazy as in DAMP.

I agree. I want better objectives in MP. The random tasks in ME3MP were just ways to create a difficulty spike to break the pattern of combat. I want a bit more than that.

More abilities and customization with less repeated abilities.

Also, bigger maps with intention behind them. Having to work with a team would be ideal - forcing a team of 4 to split into two groups and help each other -- team A has to get a switch to open a door for team B, or something like that.

But then everyone plays Quarian #2 instead of the sexbot. Why is this not connecting for you?

Some people might actually prefer the sexbot. Others, Quarian number #2. Maybe, some of the people who preferred the Quarian, up to this point, played the sexbot anyway because "invincibility and DPS". And maybe they wouldn't do so if they could buff up their Quarian enough.

ME3mp was great! More of that please with a bigger variety of maps and objectives.

The thing I want most however is a character creator for MP.

I don't blame Frostbite for the failure that was DAMP. I found most of the issues I had with it were design based instead of being technical issues.  Personally I find it is still easier to find groups for ME3MP over DAMP.

Why do people keep bringing up the DAI MP, like it has any relevance? DAI only had MP because it was so successful for ME3, but the games are completely different so their MP modes are inherently very different. It also doesn't make any sense to blame DAI MP's problem in the FB3 engine. There are tons of games with MP modes on the same engine that don't have the problems DAI MP has.

Some people might actually prefer the sexbot. Others, Quarian number #2. Maybe, some of the people who preferred the Quarian, up to this point, played the sexbot anyway because "invincibility and DPS".

So they played the most powerful character instead of their favorite character. Why would a few added layers of customization change that?

And maybe they wouldn't do so if they could buff up their Quarian enough.

So they would switch because a more powerful class came along. How is that any different than what happened in ME3 MP?

Dragon Age never struck me as being particularly ripe for multiplayer action. I feel that their combat has always been a bit of a weakness compared to Mass Effect.

Bigger maps, more players (6 or 8?), better customisation, more game modes....

Same, but it feels like they even went further into non-multiplayer combat with Inquisition with changes like reducing your movement speed when in combat.  Combine that with the gear acquisition feeling even more RNG based then ME3MP, it just wasn't fun for me to play.

I think they adjusted it as much as they could to fit with MP.

Before it would have fit less. But it was also better for single player. DAI's combat is much more simplfied now.. and the whole tactical angle barely has relevance in the main game.

I only think it's not the success ME was is because it doesn't have the crowd that was ripe for it. ME at least had it's share of shooter veterans. I don't know wtf they were thinking trying to replicate that for RPG fans..
