You can equip two of any dagger.  Why would Hakkon's Mercy be any different?

Because the Hakkon dagger is ridiculously overbudget?

Bow of the Dragon gets 41% Attack, 7% crit, 8% HoK, or about 53-55 "itemization" points

Hakkon's Wrath gets 100% crit damage bonus (or 50 itemization points) plus the other properties, plus a grip

Staff of the Dragon gets 41% Attack, 7% crit, 8% HoK, or about 53-55 itemization points

Hakkon's Wisdom gets 100% crit bonus (or 50 itemization points), plus the other properties, plus a grip/rune

Greatsword of the Dragon gets 41% Attack, 7% crit, 8% HoK, or about 53-55 itemization points

Hakkon's Valor gets 100% crit damage bonus (or 50 itemization points), plus the other properties, plus a grip/pommel

*TWO* Daggers of the Dragon gives 42% attack, 8% crit, 8% HoK, or about 54-56 itemization points

*TWO* Hakkon's Mercies gives 200% crit damage bonus (or 100 itemization points), plus the other properties, plus a grip on each

So...yeah.  One of these things is not like the others (and it applies to far more than just the Dragon weapons, I just used them for easy comparison).

I mean, really, Hakkon's Mercy should have had 50% crit damage bonus if they meant it to be dual-wielded (technically should have had 50% *period*, but it matters less if not dual-wielded).

It was not intended to be dual-wielded.

When the items came out there was a small window where duplicates dropped. Lucky individuals were able to have 2.

Instead of removing them from those peoples inventory, in the end we all were given access to two.

I think that's a win-win for us.

Still think that amulet is a myth.

No, it's real. My 3 items were Rime, Brand and the Physical Immunity amulet.

I don't mind Rime and Brand, they were my only missing level 27... now onto the Crescent Blade quest!

P.S. It's also been confirmed you can get more than 1 Crescent Blade, not that you could do something with 2 or 3 of those, but whatever...

Yeah yeah, rub it in ya dirty PC gold cheaters. (Totally salty sarcasm)

I'm aware it's real. The struggle is real trying to figure out how I'm gonna get the first book of the next set done while out of town next weekend.

Technically, daggers are the only weapons that can be dual-wielded.

The devs decided to reduce the limit from 2 to 1 after some complaints, because we all know whiners have reasons...

But the truth is, 2 Hakkon daggers sounds a lot better than it is in reality. Everything melts with 1 Hakkon dagger, a second one doesn't nearly give you as much reward as the first one does.

In my humble opinion, Bloody Bargain, Savage Thorn and Silencer are better than a second Hakkon dagger. Of course, Bloody Bargain wins hand down the contest, that dagger is crazy freaking good... (the Assassin and the Alchemist are already good, but with that dagger they become the Harbinger of Destruction)

I humbly disagree. Using second Hakkon is noticeably stronger...like way stronger.

Silent Sister forsure:

80% Critical Damage vs. 7% HOK and the rampage proc.

So far I don't see myself using bloody bargain on her ever again.

Dancer's axe: 330 aoe damage ( it's fun, it's novel. It's terrible at breaking pots though. Hakkon is miles better though)

Hakkon Honor: 228 damage ( my last hakkon. YAY. 6 hakkons collection completed, 4+2 daggers)

Brand: 175 damage ( did not try, do not care to try)

How do you calculate itemization points?  I've never seen anything on that, so I really don't know how that works.

So did anyone else get anything useless? I just saw how many people were saying the rewards were great so I decided to go grind out some FC and pray for the Hakkon bow, or staff. Upon opening 4 chests of useless items (thanks for the Dragon call after they Dragon challenge) I get to a chest with 3 cards. I'm psyched because they are all those Dragon card things and start flipping them over. I got 3 damn drakescale armors for mages because I never earned enough points in the mage class due to me not playing mages. FML I can't wait till the 10th, I'm so over this game and it's shady RNG.

TLDR: finished book, got drakescale for a class I don't play. So anyone who is in similar situation and hasn't completed one of their drakescale challenges I suggest that first.

It seems like if you don't have all the drakescale, do not open the chest.   I have all the drakescales but never step foot in NM and no Hakkons and got 2 Hakkons from the chest.  The 3rd item was a shield with 10% WF.   I wonder if that will stack with the 10% WF from the Hakkon sword.

So much hype for nothing. Most of my friends, got the amulet and extra hakkon dagger together.

I was just wondering, wasn't there once 5 books queued up in the challenge list?

Did they axe then or just hide them until we get to them?
