As for all FT Masterworks, same buff only stacks if the other buff has a different value, like Hidden Blades x5 with Hidden Blades x4. Since there is only one pure "focus gain" FT mat and it is 30%, it shouldn't stack.

You should be able to stack a 30% focus gain with a 10% extra focus for each enemy within 8 meters, though.

I'm not sure if those would multiply or add. If you had both, do you get (1.30)(1.10) = 1.43 = 43% per nearby enemy, or is it a straight 30%+10%=40% per nearby enemy?

But it would stack with the belt right? theres the 30% bonus focus belt and the Masterwork that gives 30% too. heard since they are equal they don't stack. however im wondering about the MasterFocus belt which gives 35% gain hmm

I don't know. Up until Trespasser there wasn't any direct overlap in buffs between FT and accessories, but now that there is, only testing will tell.

Good to know! I hadn't realized that you could stack HBx5 with HBx4. Learn something new every day!

If you've got 30% Focus Gain from the FT masterwork, could you stack that with a 10% Focus Gain belt from Barnabus in Val Royeaux? I imagine the 30% Focus Gain belt you get from the Fereldan Frostback wouldn't work since the percentages are the same.

focus is a bit strange. I know in my tooltip when I equipped the 30% focus gain belt and an armor with 30% focus gain masterwork my total focus gain displayed in the tooltip was 60%. I never found out if was actually working as focus gain is notoriously difficult to track.

easiest way to check is to add both then check your attributes and see what your focus gain value is set at. Then remove one and generate focus, then add it back and generate focus again to see if there is any difference.

Well at least that's a pretty clear indication that it is additive, not multiplicative. Whether it works or not, who knows?
