"GREAT NEWS!!!!

Origin is selling DAO for $2.99 while Witch Hunt costs $6.99.  An 80 hour game is less than half the price of DLC that is less than two hours long.

I guess all customers are created unequal.

Five years later and the DLC is still at list price.

...

DAI is selling at less than half off list price, yet EA/Bioware cannot give even a 1% discount on DAI DLC.

The deluxe upgrade plus all DLC for DAI cost $65, while the GotY edition costs $60.

Talk about bassackwards and ludicrous ...

...

I am waiting for the inevitable excuse to be repeated ad nauseam to justify EA/Bioware's ripoff policies:

"It's always been that way"

Sincerely,

Just another whining and entiltled EA/Bioware customer that bought DAI at launch.

Buy it for the same price as Witch Hunt on a steam sale, seriously.

$2.99 for Origins is a steal, though.

I just complained to EA chat a few minutes ago, and they gave me a 15% origin discount code which I just used used to buy and download Descent and the two item packs.

I appreciate the 15% discount, but as a customer who ordered the DAI Deluxe Edition before its launch last November, I should not have needed to complain to get a better price on the remaining DLC that does not feel like a rip-off like buying DLC at list price a year later.

I was not going to buy the two item packs, but relented as I got the discount.

You can buy DAO UE for $11.99 (+4.99) in one of the Amazon Z-shops (Shopville USA) or $19.99 (Amazon with free shipping if Prime member) which means that for under $20.00 you can own the base game +Awakening expansion + dlcs.

Why would Bioware/EA undercut one of the largest distributors of its software? If gamers want to buy the base game of DAO for $2.99 to see if they like it it is a minimal investment. If they like it they can buy the UE edition from Shopville or Amazon.

It is up to the consumer to look for the better deal. EA does not have to provide it from their website.

It is very disappointing that I had to complain in order to not pay an inflated price.
