Read that again. The recoil is equal to the impact energy. Nothing to do with the mass of the projectile. The paint chip would cause the same recoil as the slug. That's the basis of the mass effect.

Well, that's another example of the Codex failing at physics: in Real Life ™, it's the momentum of projectile and shooter that must be equal. But aside showcasing the Codex writer's incompetence, my main point was that the Codex doesn't states directly that Mass Effect firearms has muzzle energies comparable to atom bombs. (Dreadnought main guns probably do, but they are not firearms.) The depiction of their effects in the games and calculations from real life and in-game data puts their muzzle energies equal to or somewhat higher (but not 10 magnitudes higher) than modern-day firearms.

However, this is getting extremely off-topic. Shouldn't we make a new topic dedicated to this question?

ME3MP's N7 units are really silly looking and vastly overpowered. I would prefer toning down the default classes with slightly less power spamming, a little more gun play, also having to use some tactics and the provided environments more.

I don't think I like this. Mass Effect 3 featured some pretty powerful weapons already, and certain classes got weapon damage bonuses. Toning down the classes to rely on gunplay more would only limit the the style of play some players prefer. Like, I should be able to play an Adept or Vanguard that likes to destroy everything without heavy reliance on the weapon. Heck, if possible, without using the weapon at all.  I did an Adept playthrough with nothing but the predator, and I found it pretty rewarding.

Indeed, that's about the only difference between ME gameplay and a very long list of TPS games.

If ME becomes mainly about guns, I would be much less interested in it.

Do your thing, go creazy about powers and weapons, if you think swords are awsome (like i do) than please implement them in andromeda.

Thank you ;)

This is exactly why starchild exists and why they cut the original ending. Feedback is important. Brushing off logic and fan input is what gets you shitty games.

Waltzing in here with no previous contribution to the thread and calling us all wrong is not the polite way ;D

I would not object to being able to play a Shadow, or somesuch if it is an available choice.

Heck, Paladin would be fun, too.

Why doesn't that happen when i play paladin? :C, are the ragdoll physics host dependent?
