I've downloaded ME2 three times now, and reinstalled it at least six times. I finally managed to get past the Misconfiguration issues using EA Download Manager, and I played the game for a whole one hour before I left my house this morning (fell in love during that one hour, naturally). Now that I'm back home, I attempted to play again, but now the "Play" button on the launcher is not clickable, nor is the "Configure" button. Any help is appreciated.
(Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition, downloaded from Gamestop. All computer specs exceed what is recommended.)
$64 desktop icons don't sit well with me.
Not able to press "Play" on launcher.

I have the save problem: played once after install, Play and Configure won't work on any subsequent load of the launcher.

Does running as Administrator make a difference? Have you tried running MassEffect2.exe directly? It's located in the game's Binaries folder. See if it loads that way.
