I think in my first playthrough I didn't get this bug. But after that, no one has ever spoken a word, literally, every time. I heard after latest patch some people saying it's fixed, so I was really hopeful.
But nope, still nothing at all. Even my savior cheat engine trigger won't work.
Would BW fix this? like, ever?
I got banter there, but always only after I finished the quest with Loghain/Alistair/Stroud/Hawke and exited/re-entered the stage.
I only get the odd enviromental comment there, no real banter whether I use CE trigger or not. I assume the bug is burried deep and, the devs can't get to it easily, possibly without messing up more important things there.
To my knowledge, they never did anything about the Western Approach (there's some other issue there that prevents banter from firing in most cases, beyond whatever general unreliability the system has).I think they tried. But it's a very durable bug.

Hello, I can't seem to get my CE banter trigger to work, can you tell me how you did it?
I think it is not really a bug??? I've seen some review that Western approach or any area w/ desert will have no party banter due to its hot weather.
