Definitely true, need to learn timing of your charged shots in concert with your cast-able powers.

Yep , in fact it does its job so good - that people belief it's OP.
Veterans hate (seeing it used in the hands of the unitiatated), because a newbee can walk in on day 1 and strip shields quicker than you can say cheese. (Like the Talon)

I totally agree: magazine management, charge-up sprinting, charge conservation when confronted with ledges, knowledge of ballistics, indirect fire, reload timing, ammo selection, mod selection all overstrain the average hitscan scrub capabilities.

 

It's also a weapon that allows for a certain finesse on the battlefield in conjunction with the right abilities. And that does not include flamer. It is after all, an Asari weapon and matches their natural elegance bit for bit.
