I think they are totally different kind of spirits. Don't quote me on that cuz I lost track after DAI.

No. They are similar spirits in that they are both spirits of martial virtue but valor doesn't care whether your cause is right or wrong, just whether you are brave in fighting for it.

He just thought it was cheap and without honor... because mages were confused or defenseless. He seemed indifferent otherwise to me.
