Loghain's a tough one. Maybe Ciaran Hinds.. He's getting a little old though.
Perfect for Loghain of DAI

I love this thread. Great ideas.
Briala: Nathalie Dormer
Cyril de Monfort (we don't see much of his face in DAI though) : Gaspard Ulliel
Gatt : Pierre Niney
Gaspard de Chalons: Jean Reno
Nice!!!
Sutherland : Steven Yeun
Spoiler
My kingdom for Steven Yeun as Sutherland tbh. I love this casting idea.
Chlorite, all of your castings are really great. Your Gatt should get a prize, though! Likewise with your Blackwall, WobbleLikeAJelly! Sebastien Chabal has taken over in my daydreams as the Champion (thanks for that!)
Nomination for Chancellor Roderick:

This one was a surprise for me. Casting for the elven body type alone is a challenge, but Fiona also needed an Orlesian accent. After looking at page after page of head shots of French actresses, I was shocked to see Eva Green's name! She has a British accent in every movie and TV show I've ever seen, but apparently she's French and can speak French fluently. Can she speak the Common Tongue with an Orlesian accent, though? You be the judge.
No Eva Green for Calpernia ![]()
tatterdemalion and Lindraen, I'm happy you like the ideas. This thread is just so much fun : p
(woah, I had no idea Eva Green was french o_o She would be a good cast for both characters! Reynolds as Cullen, original and fitting! and excellent choice for Roderick. He is a very good look alike)
-> tatterdemalion, my kingdom for Sutherland's presence in DA4! the idea of this character was very interesting, I would love to know more about his deeds)
Let's try with some Magisters:
Cory: Yul Brynner
Halward Pavus: Shahruck Khan
Felix Alexius : Tyler Joseph
The Architect: David Bowie
Wow, Chlorite! I wish I could like more than once. Though I like Bill Nighy as Corypheus too, Yul is pretty good. The rest of your picks are true excellence! Your Halward, Felix, and The Architect are genius! ![]()
David Bowie for Architect is genius. Well done!

Not totally serious, but I always thought Celene was channeling Bowie. ![]()
I've been wringing my brain trying to find a role in which to cast Travis Fimmel. Alas, Blizzard has him. ![]()
Sorry, but it is unthinkable that anyone other than Claudia Black would play Morrigan.
No disrespect, but she's a little old.
I'd like to see Cillian Murphy as Solas

Their facial structures are similar, and I think he could look even closer to Solas if he shaved his head. And after watching Peaky Blinders, I know he's got the acting chops.
Hmm if I had a time Machine, I'd cast Vincent Price as Corypheus, Katharine Hepburn as Empress Celene, Christoper Lee as Grand Duke Gaspard, Ceaperna would be Maureen O-Hara and Tim Curry as Samson.
How old do you think Morrigan is?No disrespect, but she's a little old.
How old do you think Morrigan is?
In any case, Richard Armitage is 6'2" and if he can play Thorin (a dwarf), I'm sure movie magic can work shortening age too.
I like to hope that by Inquisition she's still under 40.
I'm a little surprised no one has put forward Ranveer Singh as Dorian yet.
Dude can pull off the moustache really well, in my opinion.

Uh, hello?
And as a person, Singh seems really exuberant- an easy fit for Dorian.
And here's some pictures of him without the moustache.
I may or may not have a bit of a crush on this one.

All. Of. The. Awards.
While I've always been partial to Sendhil Ramamurthy as Dorian, I think that Ranveer Singh is the best casting choice for Dorian that's been suggested so far, imho. This man is absolutely gorgeous ![]()

Yes! There's movie magic as an option, and then there's also the tweaking of characters' ages. And I'm pretty sure the narrative or plot wouldn't be troubled overmuch if there were more years put in between the Fifth Blight and the events of Inquisition, or if Morrigan was aged up several years by Inquisition. And I personally prefer not to see Claudia Black be made-up to look younger than she is.
Some film industry bigwigs may disagree with me, but I like to hope that 40 years of age isn't an expiry date for talented, hard-working actresses -- especially talented, hard-working actresses who are already able to play Morrigan quite convincingly. But that's just me /shrugs.
Alas, with the film industry as it currently is, a fairly younger actress (e.g. Jennifer Lawrence) would probably have more of a shot at playing Morrigan in Inquisition than Claudia Black would
But, c'est la vie.
