Does it bug anyone else that there is nothing about Sigrun, or Velanna, in the Keep? It feels like they've been forgotten.

BTW does anyone know why the Descent is black in the Keep? Did i miss something? Or is it a bug?

Well, it's a pretty good indication they're probably not coming back.

Sigrun, I understand. Velanna had epic potential... since she and her sister could be tied to the Architect.

Oh well.

They can always add a tile or more for them if they decided to bring them back.

Amusingly, Velanna was supposed to return in DA2 as the vessel for Justice, but they decided against it.

Sigrun is dead in most canons and her tank rogue build doesn't mesh well with the current approach.

Just hit the Descent spoiler button on the right and manually change it. The Descent doesn't seem to want to upload to the Keep.

Neither does Duncan. Or the Vir Tanadahl if you're a Dalish warrior.

I'd rather they brought that all back.

I'm pretty sure Duncan's dead.

My theory, if you killed the Architect, is that he resurrected himself through Utha's body, much like Corypheus does through the bodies of Grey Wardens.

Okay, even now, a year and a half, almost, after DAI's release, I am still puzzled by whatever coding went into programming those goddamn bears in the Hinterlands, because something just does not sit right with me. Whenever you actually need to find a bear, for whatever reason, but mainly because of the quest, you can't seem to find a frigging bear anywhere. But the moment you do anything else, anything, be it picking a herb, or acquiring a new camp, suddenly it's, BEARS EVERYWHERE. I have lost count of the amount of times I have been jumped, at low level, by three bears at once, and this not even a one time thing, it has happened on every damn character I have created. So, after all this, I am left with one conclusion; Some malicious programmer at Bioware, with far too much free time on his or her hands, set up a system within the game, I have no idea how, im not a programmer, that decided when, where, and how many bears appear in a given area, just to **** with the player.

ITS THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES SENSE.

Or, more likely, Seranni.

In south west corner of the Storm Coast there is a half collapsed entrance to the deep roads, complete with a Dwarven statue standing over it. What I have always wondered since finding it, as an avid reader of the Dragon Age books, is if this is where Maric, Duncan, and Fiona, escaped from the Darkspawn towards the end of Dragon Age: The Calling. Does anyone know

According to the DA wiki,. the Ortan Thaig is somewhere beneath Ferelden

So it could be, because they entered in Westhill

and exited it in Gwaren.

In DAO you actually wander through the Ortan Thaig, it's where you meet Ruck. :)

Knew it, thank you.

Ortan Thaig is also where Alistair was conceived, so all you Alistairmancers just remember that the next time you take him there. :D

You also probably already know, but the sword you get from the chest in Return to Ostagar, Cailan's sword, is the same one Maric found in the Deep Roads, the one that was able to drive back the Darkspawn taint. So, if Alistair keeps that sword, and he wears his mothers amulet, it's possible he could be entirely cured of the taint himself, much like his mother was.

Yes, I do.

You know, when I read the Calling I wondered if Fiona was cured, because the healing water (or however you want to call it) flowed over Maric's Sword, (which is (as far as I know) made out of Silverite), while they had sex.

From the DA wiki page about Silverite:

The lustrous, white-blue silverite has long been prized by the dwarves for use in jewelry, rune making, and weapon smithing, but on the surface, it is more commonly used by apothecaries and healers. Since the metal does not rust, many traditions believe it to be proof against poison.

There is a tale passed down among the people of the Anderfels: A knight returned home after many years of war, only to be struck by an adder. His wife immediately bound the wound with a medallion of silverite pressed against the bite like a poultice. By morning, the poison had left him. And the knight lived to an old age.

—An excerpt from An Alchemical Primer of Metallurgy: Volume One, by Lord Cerastes of Marnas Pell
—From Codex entry: Silverite

Does anyone else find Stone Fist much less satisfying in DA:I? It just seems to pack less of a... punch.

Just use it after Winter's Grasp ;)

*listens to the nice sound of Shatter*  ^_^

The only problem I have, is that in DAO/DA2, when you shattered someone they died. Now shattered enemies just fall on their butt.  <_<

Bah, I like to see my enemies fall to pieces before me.

Okay, so, Trespasser proves that Orlais has access to gunpowder, what with the firework display, so... why hasnt anyone made cannons? Or guns?

A better question would be, why isnt anyone inclined to explore beyond the known world? Humans, in the real world, are a pretty inquisitive bunch, were explorers and pioneers by nature, so it just seems odd that the races of the world seem so... stagnant.

Exactly.

Hmm, maybe that sort of gunpowder isn't suited for cannons? The only ones, beside the Qunari, with access/the knowledge to make "gunpowder" are the dwarves and even those have still to fight with how unstable their Lyriumpowder-bombs are.
(If I think back at DAA and Dworkin and his bombs...)

This reminds me of one of the war table banters between Josie and the other advisors.

Josephine: Do you ever wonder what lies at the edges of the map, past the seas?
Cullen: No.
Leliana: I think we have enough to worry about on this continent.
Josephine: Of course, but... sigh

I think so far the only ones that travelled from somewhere else to Thedas are the Qunari.

They're magic fireworks. That's why they boost your Magic score. (And why I'm so s**t at that mini-game. Damn sparklefingers.) ;)

There is a discussion in World of Thedas Vol. 2 about lands beyond Thedas. Basically, it's all pretty hostile.

It just seems odd, especially when you take into account how primitive most boats are in Thedas. Sometimes it seems like something is purposefully stifling the races of Thedas, holding them back, and keeping them from exploring and advancing technologically. Thedas, as it is now, does not seem to be that much more advanced than they were before the first Blight.

Question, does anyone know when Imperial Vestment Cotton becomes available in the Black Emporium?

Also, why are some Humans taller than The Iron Bull? Should Humans even be that tall?

Also, has anyone else noticed how this statue looks nothing like a Dwarf, and has horns like a Qunari?

Well, Emperor Florian didn't like his own face, as it says in the Codex to the statue ;)
