This reminds me...  Hang3dMan.  How are your drops coming along since you foolishly decided to salvage your lone Hakkon weapon?

If by "foolishly salvage" you mean "since you followed Snakebites advice" then I will gladly regale you with a tale...

I salvaged my lone Hakkon, the one handed sword I got on my 18th run about a week or so ago, and on my 7th run up Ferelden following that, received the game changing two handed sword. Would have done that trade any day of the week!

This was after failing to get a Hakkon after 170 NM and HB matches or so. Did another twenty or so runs since getting the great sword, with no other drops, but got the other one I was coveting, the staff, from the victory chest.

Overall, I am happy with the decision, and appreciate yours and Campout's advice on the subject!

Foolish indeed!

Game changing?  That weapon is clearly under-powered!  I have proposed a few enhancements in another thread to bring it up to where it should have been from the start.  I'm glad you are having fun with it though.

I saw the Static Cage enhancement you had requested, and firmly support that. Can I see your Static Cage, and since we are are dropping two procs, I raise you by adding that I should have a 100% chance to Spirit Mark my victims. And have multiple spirits at the same time. And...that power actually works off my sword, but they never fix my favorite mages version of that same power.

You are right. As is, its underwhelming. Do you think the dragon will drop The Whale if I salvage this sword?

Spirit Mark as the second proc to complement Static Cage?  Counterstike would be a much more complementary skill.

Either that or Stone Fist.  I want to shoot Stone Fist out every time I swing, and have it proc Static Cage when they hit their targets, then I can just shoot more Stone Fist to get discharges.

The Whale

Once the cage ends it would be like a jar of bees of bolters or despair demons or whatever.

I do like stonefist though! Maybe the spirit marked things would shoot stonefist. Constantly.

Are you saying that I should hold out for the good old Hossberg Twainer instead of the Whale? I'm getting mixed messages here...

What's with your obsession with wanting such overpowered weapons?  The Last Stand is what you need.  Not The Whale, and certainly not the Twainer.

Now, back to the Valor.  Maybe we could have a Valor with 3 masterworks on it.  It would have Counterstrike and Static Cage to draw them all in and trap them, then Spirit Mark to release them upon their comrades.

Or maybe two Valors, one with Stone Fist and Static Cage, the other with Walking Bomb and Spirit Mark.  Then give two-handed warriors the ability to dual-wield...  but only the Valors.  We don't need people running around with two Whales or Last Stands or something too overpowered.

I haven't gotten a Hakkon weapon yet but I'm hoping for the two handed sword one day! The Avvar is a lot of fun.

Dancer's axe is actually pretty good as well and fun, always whirlwinding, ah my first lev 27 weapon!

which is great cause it's gonna get me to complete the greataxe challenge, considering how 2 handed greataxes mostly suck

though the whirlwind has a slight negative effect, since it sometimes misses enemies lying on the ground, I tried to use the whirlwind ring to see if it increases the damage of base attacks and it doesn't, at least for ps4.

P.S. Had no hakkon or lev 27 weapons untill i opened victory chest from book challenge,

got:

hakkon's valor

dancer's axe

Isatunoll

Don't stop believing! oooOOOOoo

If you have whirlwind as a power, upgraded, do you get the bonus rotation damage when using the Dancers Axe even though you haven't activated whirlwind?

When I checked this, the damage numbers were a bit erratic, but I'm fairly certain that you do not get the bonus damage.

I believe that when I tried this it didn't work.  It's also different than Whirlwind in that it is full damage instead of 70% and it doesn't detonate combos.

A friend of mine tested this yesterday. His findings were...

The upgrade to Whirlwind (skill) isn't applied to the Whirlwind from Dancer's Axe.

But, the Whirlwind ring does affect the Whirlwind from Dancer's Axe.

Well, that would be pretty cool if you were auto-attacking all the time.  It would be like a 30% attack ring instead of 10%.  Maybe it will be useful at level one.

Lol of course it should not have been affected by upgrade coz it would be game breaking. Just read the description of upgrade

Finally found my first Hakkon on my 89th NM dragon - I got back what I salvaged :( (the one handed sword).

Hope a developer have another look at the loot tables as others have reported waiting until dragon 230 for their first one.

Well, back to rolling that boulder up Ferelden Castle for me

Congratulations, that is one awesome weapon, and one of my favorite Hakkon weapons. I played the Templar like crazy after I had unlocked it.

Glad to report that after a gazillion NM matches today, the game still hasn't given me the last Hakkon (bow).

Good to know this game is consistent, at least.

A friend of mine got his Hakkon Bow yesterday from a Dragon (that is right, from a Dragon!) after 150 NM FC dry streak. Also it was the last Hakkon he had to unlock.
So, there is hope Kai  ;)

Yep, played it for months myself; It's a nice weapon.  I may open up my book 3 chest soon; probably before the next weekend event so I'll hopefully find some more goodies.

Not sure that grinding NMFC for Hakkons is all that much fun tbh.

I'm quite happy with the Dagger, Staff and Greatsword with 13 NM games in my HQ
