It seems to focus mainly on the Andromeda galaxy and not mention the Milky Way. Which would be disappointing to me.

Eaware is abandoning the original trilogy and all the toxic controversy with it.

Deal with it.

It feels like ME3 really was supposed to be the final Mass Effect game ever made except EA wanted an ME4 for profit, so yeah I'm saying ME4 is like a 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Bioware definitely wrote themselves into a hole when they made the Reapers seemingly invincible.

The Milky Way most likely will get mentioned. Either through dialogue or codex on how humans and other species ended up in Andromeda. Or maybe the beginning of the game takes place in the Milky Way just before the ship/ark/whatever leaves for Andromeda

I'm hoping the characters in ME:A know what happens to the Milky Way after the events of Mass Effect 3. I really would have loved to see the Milky Way after the events of ME3.

I'm worried about the context. Like will it be mentioned in a way that alludes to how the Milky Way Galaxy is after the events of ME3, or is the Ark Theory true where the colonists have no idea what happened to the Milky Way.

Like pretty much everything else, we have no idea. Best to take things with a grain of salt until an official confirmation is made as it has happened in the past when someone complained about something not happening which turned out to be speculation that people just took for fact.

Yeah I guess we'll get an idea of what the story will be like by E3 2016 or something.

Forward, I'm looking to, new story, improved play mechanics and no fetchie questie for fetchie's sake.

Forget, MW and rainbow colour endings, I want.

Glad, I will be, when faced with fresh new challenges without ball and chain that is ME3.

So far as I've heard, there is no Mass Effect 4, or even any plans for one.

It is not Mass Effect 4, is Mass Effect Andromeda and yes of course it will be mention but and most probably from codex entries, an occasional comment from the people we're going to talk, after all we are not traveling alone, we aren't arriving to a place where there are no one else, right.

I believe we're going to discover a new threat to the universe as we dive into ME: A and explore the galaxy.  It'd make more sense to feature the Milky Way in the next game: we return 'home', report the new threat to the Citadel council/Earth, and prepare our people for these 'new reapers'.

A hungry krogan ate the Milky Way.

And then he was thrown out of the airlock where no one would ever find him again.

I have no doubt it will be mentioned.   In fact, I would be quite surprised if the fact that they fled the destruction of the Milky Way doesn't weigh pretty heavily on characters in the early part of the game.    Sort of a survivor's guilt aspect to it.

No, I don't expect them to know the events at the end of ME3.   That would kind of defeat the whole point of moving the setting to another galaxy.

Well, I'm hoping for some sort of prologue that explains the exodus from the Milky Way...something that bridges ME3 to MEA.  I thought DAI really suffered by starting with an explosion.  New players to the series must have been awfully confused.  It wouldn't need to be elaborate.  Maybe it's triggered with the "continuity of civilization" blurb by the Asari Counselor, shows the Ark construction or unveiling, assembly of the races going into stasis (if that's the route they go,) a few scenes reflecting the journey, and the arrival in the Helios Cluster and waking up from stasis.  Que character creation.  Maybe we've been awoken while under attack or to fix a catastrophic malfunction that threatens the entire Ark.

Dragon Age Inquisition was one of the worst games I've played I hope they take what they learned from that game and make it nothing like that.

Perhaps in the intro and flashbacks. But everything else will take place in Andromeda.

Universe?  stop thinking so small.  We'll find a threat to the MULTIVERSE!

All of time, space and reality will be dependent on the choice you make!

So pick the Orange ending!  No, wait, Yellow!  No, Fuscia for the WIN!!!

I feel like Andromeda will be what Mass Effect will call home for the next few games (at least 2 games minimum or more).  Get used to it.

A long, long time from now, in a galaxy far, far away... The Milky Way, becomes the Milky Speck in the distance.
