Im using a 30% focus belt, and want to maximize focus ability usage. I have 2 fade touched mats to use, 1 for +10% per enemy, and 1 for +7.5% per enemy. So will these stack and give me +17.5% focus gain per enemy on top of the solid 30% focus gain?
so... how does this work exactly?

Try it and report back here. They do seem to add together, at least as far as the character record is concerned (check during combat, not in Skyhold).Im using a 30% focus belt, and want to maximize focus ability usage. You'll have to do a practice combat without the gear equipped and again with, to really know if it is working. Compare how much focus is gained.

^ Well, I think the OP wanted to know whether the Fade-touched mats would be wasted or not. BUT you can just do a hard save if testing is required and then go back if the mats will be wasted.

As far as anybody knows, the only "rule" is that two like properties typically won't be cumulative (+7.5% per nearby enemy wouldn't stack with another +7.5% to give you 15%—it'd just be 7.5%).
So my bet is that it does work. I'm not aware of any way to easily test it, however (focus gain isn't entirely understood, and it happens slow enough that the difference between 7.5% or 10% and 17.5% could very well be imperceptible).
Honestly, there are probably any number of masterwork properties that would you serve you far better than focus gain ever could, but if you get good results this way, go for it.

Tip: If one is planning on completing the game using Trespasser DLC, they may wish other effects for crafted gear, temporary gear, and abilities.

Yes, I thought that was self-evident, but better safe than sorry.^ Well, I think the OP wanted to know whether the Fade-touched mats would be wasted or not. BUT you can just do a hard save if testing is required and then go back if the mats will be wasted.

My main issue is that i dont know if the 30% bonus is applied as a base bonus, or a base bonus plus onto the fade touched mats. So the 17.5% would turn into something like 24% plus the original 30%.
