Who do you think was the most idiotic villain in this game? Whether it be Erimond and his full of self ness, or florianne and revealing my whole plan to the one person who can stop me strategy. Or maybe even the scooby doo villain cornflakeus himself. Who's the dumbest?

I'm going to go with Solas. For all his "I am not a monster" business at the end of Trespasser, his crappy plan nearly resulted in Corypheus doing a lot of nasty ****, and it was only through blind luck and a lot of other unpleasantness that things didn't go completely down the toilet. Everything that happened with the Wardens? To the Templars, the Mages and Orlais? All the undead corpses in Crestwood?

It's all on him. And what does he say when confronted with this?

"Oh, well, I guess I didn't expect Corypheus to be able to survive. What can you do?'

The man is a clown, and isn't anywhere near as intelligent or wise as he likes to come off. At least Corypheus had something resembling a plan. Florianne's plan seemed more like an "all or nothing" sort of venture, and Erimond...was an *******.

How about Solas?   For giving his orb to Corypheus in the first place.     He has seen so much in the Fade from the frozen southern wastes to Par Vollen and yet in all his travels he never learned about how arch demons survive and thus how Corypheus might do the same?    (May be he should try learning from the Wardens instead of just criticising),     Honestly, though you have a magical artefact that contains your stored up power and knowledge and you just give it away to some random stranger?!

When Solas says he has plans, be afraid, be very afraid, not that he might succeed but that once again it will all go horribly wrong and someone else will have to fix his mess for him.

Inky needs a good boot licker. But you would have to keep a tight leash on him, he would betray you if it favored him.

yup, and still proving he's dumb by wanting to do so. I never failed that war table op though, I'm smarter then not have someone sent along solely to watch him!

Solas probably deserves Tywin's condemnation as well.

Really, I thought he was hilarious and sort of awesome after you read about him helping the Qunari fight mages in World of Thedas Vol. 2.

I really would like to get a better explanation for the statement "Because every alternative was worse" (regarding the creation of the Veil) and "They would have destroyed the entire world".

It seems to me that only someone who is ruled by the own emotions would cause that much damage just to get revenge on a few people.

Dumb as in "in game"? The Arishok. I feel kind of bad for him, but he lost his ****.

Dumb, as in writing: Easily Corypheus. But just about everything about faith in this game is dumb... I love the concept though.

I'm not a big fan of Solas destroying Thedas, but it's really not possible for us to judge the situation he was in in his fight with the Evanuris. Beings with god-like powers and hordes of "worshipers" and slaves and armies... they could- and did - wreak a lot of havoc. I could see myself rolling some pretty big dice in trying to solve a situation like that.

I just thought Lucius was funny, after I discovered Envy. He's just trying too hard, in a body he thought had some public sway.

Then he finds out more about you and realizes how how much his choice sucked.

Those 3-4 man random bandit groups that think it's a brilliant idea to attack your party. I mean what the hell are those thinking?

"Oh look a pretty capable looking 4-(wo)man adventurer-team with top notch weapons and armor. I think I can at least see one mage there as well. Let's try to rob them."

Agreed.  Solas is like somebody who's never had a real job, all he knows how to do is throw magic at things and hope that "fixes" it.  For a given definition of "fix".

He needs a Magneto-style comeuppance where he completely loses all of his magic and becomes Joe Ordinary.  Permanently.

But, really, as far as I'm concerned none of the bad guys in DA:I achieved "villain" status.  They were obstacles and road blocks and annoyances, not THREATS.  The biggest actual threats were people like Chancellor Roderick who ought to have been helping clean up the mess but decided to go off on their own stupid B.S. instead.

Definitely the grey wardens win for most epic stupid villains in DAI. They hear "the calling" so they listen to a Vent cult for good ideas which turns out murder your fighters and make a demon army. Yep that sounds like a swell plan you tainty simpletons. Wouldn't even need a second opinion on that gem. Please let us interact with grey imbeciles in DA4 so we can comment and heckle them on their utter idiocy.

What some Inquistion crap wants to talk with us. Don't they know we are too busy murdering each other to raise a demon army to talk. I guess they will need to assault our keep and uselessly kill a bunch of us and them before we talk with them because that would be the next most absolute stupid thing we could do so that sounds about right.

In just about 10 years from heroes of the 5th blight to pathetically brain-dead villains used by a dark spawn. If you allow them to stay why is no one in Skyhold calling them morons regularly?

Although mages and pimplars try win the dumb and dumberer contest. I understand lyrium addicts getting tricked with red lyrium but who in their right mind would have Lord Creeper Lucius as a leader. Just no you morons. With the mages I kinda understand that help from Tevinter might seem okay but it takes 2 seconds to figure out it's just an evil Vent cult that wants you as slaves so you say no thank you. When the Inquistion shows up you realize that might not be ideal but still better than an evil Vent cult so you leave. What part of being rebels and leaving stuff they don't like did those magerons forget about.

In DA2 I thought that Kirkwall stupid was a thing from too much Vent nasty history but apparently southern Thedas stupid is a thing. Although if so many Vents joined up with Cory than apparently it's affected Tevinter too.

So maybe Solas is right. The veil makes everyone Kirkwall stupid so you might as well tear it down and put them out of their misery.
