Hi,

I decided to come back to DAI and plan to get all the DLC. I'm 10 hours in to my game and I've realised that, to spite DA Keep telling me that the world I created has been exported AND the game saying I imported "New world state1" (the world I created), It's all the default stuff. I need to know if there's any way I can edit my game to put the correct decisions in. The Hero of Fereldan is NOT supposed to be a dalish woman who put Alistair on the throne etc.

Is there anything I can do? Restarting is not an option.

Thanks for any help,

D.O.

I'm sorry to say, there's nothing you can do.

The only time a keep world state can be changed is by starting a completely new game and importing the worldstate. The world state cannot be changed once the game has started :(

Well that's disappointing.... OK thanks for letting me know. Uninstalling now lol. No WAY am I restarting just to risk this again 15 or 20 hours later.

Cheers.

Oddly enough the same thing happened to me on my latest run.    It is disappointing but in the end I decided to go with it and see how different it is from my own world states.    Then I'll just go and alter it to what I really want when I send it to the Keep.

You can check this when you start a new game. One of the new game screens gives you a time stamp for the active world-state. If you have just exported from the Keep, it should be a few minutes old.

Also, as soon as you get out of prologue, ask Threnn about the ruler of Ferelden and fate of Loghain. If you have a Lelimance, there might be a mention of it if you talk to Leli right off the bat, I'm not sure. Ask Varric about Hawke, that will make sure you got your DA2 choices imported. If the Monarch, Loghain's Fate and Hawke's Actions were imported right, everything was. You can also ask about Hawke's romance, which is another point to ensure with.

You are only 10 hours in.    I have abandoned playthroughs at 50 or 60 hours simply cause I didn't like the way my character looked anymore.

Heh...

I spent over 150 hours on my first playthrough. Now I'm somewhere near 180 with my second, and Trespasser isn't something I want to do too soon.

Okay. It's a new day and I'm willing to try to love again lol. Gonna reinstall and restart. But don't you dare break my heart again dragon age.

Problem was it said it imported and the time stamp matched so it might be a bug. First clue was getting to Redcliff and Connor not being there to spite me saving him (he was in my last playthrough last year)

As one of the other posters said, the best in-game thing to do is to go to Varric as soon as you get to Haven and ask him about Hawke.

If Varric actually talks about Hawke (he doesn't if you're running a Default World State) and if what he says matches what you did in DA2, you know the imported game worked and you're free to continue.
