Are reserve packs supposed to give you that many characters?

A good investment but with such a new manifest, sometimes you may not even receive any characters.

I got 2 Rares and 1 uncommon but it seems I was lucky then.
The only class I'm missing any other character besides the vanilla humans is the engineer.
I'll keep buying those from time to time.

Just opened one and I got a BBV, KSA and QFI. I think that was worth the 99k.
Are reserve packs supposed to give you that many characters?
Isn't that what the package description says?...
EDIT - oh, wait. I'm wrong. It gives you many skin tones. Can't live without Krogan Shaman/Guard skin tones...

it drops gold characters or gold gear cards, not guns, as long as all your gold character and gear cards are not maxed out. Then the reserve pack will drop guns (or lvl4 ammo/equipment).
Turn this around for arsenal packs.
Silver cards are silver cards, across all packs

Nice to know. I just need one engineer now to be have more options of characters to play.
For now, I have 3 or 4 characters in all the other classes. This is sufficient to start with.

Just as a sidenote, it can drop ultra rare guns

But not UR characters? If not, who drops them? PSP?

When, highly accidentally, you do get a BMW, you get ecstatic because you have a brand that the formula 1 players talk about, but then notice it is a level 1 BMW 507 (also sports car) , mild steel chassis, with 150PS from 1955, that can be quickly overtaken by bronze models at level 3
+... it will take ages before your lucky draw increments that one lucky spree to 1970.
Nice to brag with friends , but a nervous bugger to drive around with.

So, in layman's terms and to draw parallels , we are saying that u are spending money which gives u a chances to win a BMW or Aston Martin, but you win a Delorean or Pontiac since your entry level sportscar garages are still very empty...

I think this parallel works best with weapons, which have levels. Characters have only appearance and XP additions, right?
For the arsenal pack, indeed I doubt I'll get any of the 3 nice shotguns I have that soon again.
But for the characters, I get them once and that's enough to start with. I don't need camouflage or stripes right now ![]()
Could you elaborate how the fact that I maxed uncommon, let's say, will help me get better rares or URs? I ask this because the Veteran packs are 20k and buying them until I maximize all uncommons without buying anything else could be quite tiresome and maybe even demotivating.
PS: I don't buy the 99k to brag, but rather to at least get a few goodies. I must say that so far it was worth it. That doesn't mean I'll buy only those ones. I will continue working on the Veteran and occasionally throw something different (Arsenal or Reserve).

Ok, thanks, I thought they were UR. I would ask why some of the Volus ones would be considered UR. Because they seems a bit weak but I'm probably saying some big stupidity ![]()

The interesting thing is that the UR character is inversely proptional used : it is very seldom that you would see BSN lobbies with a VA or CA (Collector Adept). Only a few truely gifted players shine also with less "OP" classes & characters, or their ensign class.Ok, thanks, I thought they were UR. I stand corrected, but I belief that the connotation between a character and "rarity", is somewhat connected to its release date and means nothing whatsoever beyond it.

It won`t.
The reason spending a good deal of creds on veteran packs is a somewhat good idea, is they also give uncommon gear. And that uncommon gear includes pierce mods, and dmg barrels for guns.
When you are a newer player, you will prob spend some time in bronze and silver, unless you are a shameless leecher. So you will get more packs pr game played by focusing on the veteran packs at that stage. And you get uncommon characters that are real powerhouses, in addition to the starting kits. (the vanilla human adept is a real beast btw, master that kit, and you will never need anything else)
But for you, this is different, cos you will get gold and plat creds, when you play with us. So you can buy a mix of arsenal, reserve and veteran packs.

There was a CA in my last game yesterday and the guy was a jerk. DIdn't even care to try to revive his team mates and we often ended up dead, having to watch him solo the wave, in a slow and conservative way (on Silver!).

I understand that, I'm also not intending to buy solely those. A few now and then though, yes ![]()

Well, we played 1 matched which failed and another one in which my PS3 froze at wave 9. The other 2 guys and I fell A LOT, and I haven't seen him revive anyone. I was revived all the time by the other 2 guys and vice-versa.
When I started to realize that, I started paying attention in his behaviors and we wasn't worried with anyone else but himself.
There was this one time I died first and then I started watching him. He saw others fall (not dying yet), and simply continued killing stuff ![]()
Btw, what's the thing with Levy jeans? I'm not aware of lol

comming from Patrick Bateman, the statement of makes no sense carries some weight.

While they do sometimes drop uncommon gear, it is not common. IMO the 'uncommon' weapon mods and gears tend to need to be bought from the 60k & 99k packs. They just don't drop often from Vet packs .. they are almost like rare uncommon cards. Even after you max out your uncommon characters and weapons, vet packs will start dropping consumables most times, instead of incomplete uncommon weapon mods and gears.
That is everyday reality outside the cosy AHF cocoon, where most players have > 1000 hours on the clock. That sweet nectar can make one delirious enuf to belief that it's normal to sub 25 min on plat. In all fairness to the other puggers u have to remember that they're probably overburned themselves and each teamplayer dropping and viewing through their camera doubles the stress
Sub 25? Too modest, every time I'm playing with you AHF pro's the plat games seems to be more commonly sub 20 or better
Edit: Hey OP, that Reegar will work great on you Batarian Vanguard
