The Warden who sells Connor's soul for blood magic.

Or maybe Warden and Morrigan, if they agree to draining the blood of the Elves/CE Elf's father, for a measely +1 Con (not that the number matters :P).

I nominate:

The gossip that started the whole "Don't drink Darkspawn blood" thing; spent hours of my initial DAO campaign reloading to avoid being hit in melee.

Isabella in DA2: still wish to strangle her after she leaves Hawke and Kirkwall to clean up her mess. At least Anders was out of his mind.

The artisan that spent time crafting the Bottles of Thedas.

I don't think there is any characters really super evil in the Dragon Age world, yet. Playing the story of FF6 sets your evil character metre pretty high after Kefka Palazzo :P. Seriously, how many characters are as evil as this backstabbing bastard?! XD

I was just about to post that myself. None in DA really are truly evil. Playing an evil character makes them the most evil, but even Corypheus I felt sorry for if you know of his past and his life. I would have to say Erimond is close though. That guy has no regrets unless you make him a Tranquil. And I have to add even Kefka wasn't born evil. he was experimented on and went crazy. Still my fav FF villain.

Oh wow, so it's really true. There is always something new about DAO to learn, I'd no idea you could murder that poor elf.

"Most evil" depends on what exactly you consider particularly evil. Based on some results of social psychology, people would be considered most evil if they did all of the following (sorted in descending order of "evil", according to my personal estimation):

(1) Causing suffering, or refusing to mitigate suffering, for the lulz.

(2) Treating other people as objects only fit to serve yourself.

(3) Having no loyalty to any cause or group, just to yourself and your own self-gratification.

(4) Rejecting any moral and legal authority unless doing so benefits yourself.

(5) Casually destroying things others hold sacred.

I don't think there's any character in DA who does all of that. The most common type of evil is (2), exemplified by any slaver and/or the people who used people to grow red lyrium. Quentin would be characterized by (2) to (4), I think that's the closest anyone comes to "most evil" in the franchise, by quality, counting only NPCs. Some of our protagonists can be pretty evil, though. I'll have to check, but it's quite possible the Warden can do express everything but (3) if you put some effort into it.

Here is my choices of the most evil that meets the pointy end of my warden's sword...

Loghain

Howe

Vaughan

Caladrius

While not evil there are several AIs I would love to run a sword through in Orzammar for disrespecting my brand warden.

I wouldn't describe many, probably even the main antagonists as purely evil. But Quentin and Uldred are pretty screwed up...

I originally was paranoid that it was actually the DAI Quizzy that was insidiously the most evil DA character ever. I spent 100 hours with Quizzy and I felt like they were never even there. We did fun and exciting things together like collecting shards and these really useful bottles that saved untold numbers of Thedasians. Not to mention that wonderful time with that scamp Lord Woolzy!

When Quizzy first confronts Cory in Haven I thought maybe this little plucky protag has some potential but no. By the time we get to the final anti-climatic battle with Cory my Quizzy seemed to be an empty shell.

Although Cory isn't everyone fav villain he seemed to generally be still interested in his final performance with wacky dialogue like this:

"Tell me, where is your Maker now? Call upon Him. Call down His wrath upon me! You cannot? For He does not exist! I am Corypheus and I shall deliver from this lie in which you linger. Bow before your new God and be spared!"

"You will fall as a warning to those who oppose my divine will."

To elf Quizzy he mocks your slave tat and says:

"You are nothing. A race of sniveling cowards that shrank before Tevinter power!"

"Let it end here. Let the skies boil. Let the world be rent asunder.

"Not like this! I have walked the halls of The Golden City, crossed the ages ..."

Quizzy has one line meh dailogue with Cory at the beginning of the final anti-climatic battle and then is mostly silent except for boring game mechanics lines:

"The Archdemon's coming! We must fight!"

"The breach is getting bigger!"

One hundred hours-ish spent developing a protag and that's all they give ... seemed to be the purest of evil.

Then I played through Trespasser and finally after 2 years the Quizzy has emotions and tries at meaningful dialogue. Maybe Quizzy wasn't just evilly making us endure their emotionless moments they just didn't have a soul until Trespasser.

Maybe Quizzy is like Cole and took time to become a real person. Maybe it's a weird Solas(Souless) thing and he actually intentionally or unintentionally created the souless Quizzy during his centuries long nap.

DA4 starts with Solas saying, "Quizzy I'm your Maker."

(1)is pretty much The Warden and also sometimes Howe case

is The warden case, there are many evil deeds committed by the warden only for the lulz, without any purpose such as the one of the video but also in many other occasion, the warden can kill people just for amusement and is the only character who can do that just chek the link page to the murdered knife.

I was just about to post that myself. None in DA really are truly evil.

The Warden can be,insanely evil in both DAo and DAA without, often without a reason to people that are not a threat or just stranger, literally for nothing more than amusement,as far as i'm concerned Hawke and the Inquisitor aren't allowed to do that

Vaughan and Alrik strike me as the most unapologetically evil. (Gascard duPuis was pretty awful, too. Worse than Quentin, even.) Though their actions are targeted at comparatively few - no world domination plots here - they treat people like objects and cause pain and suffering for their own gratification. They feel no remorse or empathy. They don't have some twisted logic motivating them, they're not possessed or Tainted, they're not an extremist with good intentions. They're just really, really selfish and they either don't care if they hurt others or they revel in it.

Vaughn does.  He has his "party" for the lulz, he treats his servants like slaves, his only cause is his self-gratification, he ignores the scolding of a Chantry priest, and he destroys a marriage service.
