Speaking of having a go at each other.. I would love to see Leliana and Sera square off.. My money would be on Leliana.

Or would that be a one sided match up seeing Leliana  is a experience Bard and fought along side of the Hero of Ferelden?

I don't think they will. Iron Bull stated a__deep in demons more like it.

I hope they don't do a Mass Effect 3 option and everyone needs to share their body with a spirit. I'm NOT okay with that.

I hope not! They did say they had (so far) 5 games planned, so the next will most likely not involve the end of the world, but if all we have left is the end, I will be mighty annoyed after working my butt off the last 3 games to help everyone better their lives. It just seems were are going to see this end and everyone keeps saying it. So for me, the most evil character in DA is now and officially the blasted source of the Blight!

I agree. Sadly, after Trespassers and The Descent I think the group that started the Blight was the elves.

Have you heard of free will? It is the only way to go. Look at the stupid Elves vs the Humans. Without their all controlling Elven Gods they are useless. The Humans on the other hand get up and do something about it. They aren't waiting around for someone to save them.

The Maker giving people free will is obviously a good thing and I agree with what you say.

I'm not suggesting The Maker should actively intervene at any given circumstance. The reason why I brought The Maker as an evil character is based on some of his actions.

The first is he created the Fade and turned away when things turn south. Instead of observing from the side-lines and live by his mistake, he creates something else instead.

The second is after events in Thedas turn south, he turns his gaze away (not once but twice). He could have chosen to sit on the side-lines again but he chooses to ignore the situation. This appears to be a childish reaction instead of facing up to what he has created. The magisters enter the Golden City and The Maker unleashes the Darkspawn on all of Thedas. Darkspawn are the embodiment of evil that he created.

(BTW, this is if The Maker exists. Also, I'd just like to add a disclaimer that I am not a lore expert so may be factually challenged :D)

I should've just said Howe

I never knew you could kill that elf like that. I always just took the sword. My murderous city elf playthrough now feels grossly incomplete.

There is always something new to discover about DAO i guess :P

The Chantry version which may be some truth mixed in with politics and/or fill in the blanks. We now know from Cory the city was already black. The Chantry may have been just as misinformed as the Elves. It doesn't mean that an unmoved mover doesn't exist as Aristotle claims, but even their Andraste may not have been helped by the unmoved mover.

If you kill Leliana in DAO, she may have been brought back to life by the lyrium Titan's blood. In The Descent DLC war table operation, it appears Valta may have dug up Renn's body. If he is now alive, Andraste's maker or helper could be a Titan.

"When her sister Haliserre died in a violent incident under mysterious circumstances, Andraste was left with a sickness that made her unable to bear children for a decade. She also was known to display strange behavior, such as becoming still for long moments in an trance-like state, after which she would report voices as if from a lost memory and talk of strange auras or the sound of bells."

The Titans were called makers. I'm not sure if they started the Blight.

In Trespassers DLC:

"Hail Mythal, adjudicator and savior! She has struck down the pillars of the earth and rendered their demesne unto the People! Praise her name forever!"

For a moment, the scent of blood fills the air, and there is a vivid image of green vines growing and enveloping a sphere of fire.
The vision grows dark. An aeon seems to pass. Then the runes crackle, as if filled with an angry energy.
A new vision appears: elves collapsing caverns, sealing the Deep Roads with stone and magic.
Terror, heart-pounding, ice-cold, as the last of the spells is cast.
A voice whispers:

"What the Evanuris in their greed could unleash would end us all. Let this place be forgotten. Let no one wake its anger. The People must rise before their false gods destroy them all."

Could have started by the war between the Elves and Titans?

This is really interesting and I appreciate the reply. You've made me realise that I was only viewing The Maker through the Chantry's version (I was Chantry indoctrinated :D). It appears that the situation surrounding The Maker's existence is a lot more complicated and speculative at this point.

However, if there is any more evidence in the future which supports the Chantry's version (like how the Darkspawn were created) then my opinion on him being evil still stands.

Rendon Howe. I HATE YOU SO MUCH! KILLER OF THE AWESOME COUSLAND FAMILY, HOW DARE YOU!

This one makes no sense. If Rendon Howe was next in-line for the Teyrn after Cousland and his family were dealt with then he would surely be a blood relation in some way. But he is not, why would someone unrelated to the Couslands think they can get that title? This was BEFORE Loghain abandoned the King as well, so Loghain was without power if he did make any offers to Howe.

I couldn't think Howe was evil because of how unrelated and random those whole arc was. For a Cousland it still makes no sense why he would attack your family.

Because Howe is a power-hungry pig. He killed the Couslands because he was jealous of their success and Bryce's friendship with Maric, so once the Cousland's forces moved to Ostagar, he overturned there castle and Teryn. He's such a dick for that, i was happy to kill him more than once.

  1. The developers who first came with the idea of creating said evil characters.
  2. And the ones who refined their traits and perfected them to the point of pure evilness. I love you all, you magnificent bastards.  <3

Christ, people like Vaughan and Rendon Howe are worse than Umbridge...

^I hope we get a smiling Umbridge-esque villain for the next game. I'll probably wet myself and die, because she was more horrifying than Voldemort or any of his little cronies.

I like how you think. I really enjoyed killing him. Best part of the story!
