After playing Descent, I got to thinking about Enchantment Boy.

Bohdan stated that he found Sandal in The Deep Roads.

This leads to many questions one of which: Why was Sandal in The Deep Roads to begin with?

Since Descent, we learned about the Titans. Also seen the dwarven shaper come in contact with The Titan and is able to cast "magic" (though not directly called such).

Thus I wonder if the same thing happened to Sandal.

Sandal is able to do amazing things with ENCHANTMENTS! Also in DA2 it is hinted that Sandal used "magic" to freeze a Darkspawn Ogre. He also has some strange way of foreseeing events before they happen.

Could Sandal have been apart of the Sha-Brytol?

However this does not explain why Flemeth was interested in Sandal.

Maybe will get some more answers in DA4 and maybe Sandal will be back.

Thoughts?

Yes, that's plausible. Perhaps he was lost, or perhaps they abandoned him in the Deep Roads because of his disability.

There's a lot more to Sandal than we realize. He was also able to enter the Crossroads and spent nearly over a year there during Inquisition. I think he and Valta are a lot alike. I think they are strongly connected to the Titans, only Sandal is a bit off and I think it's more than just about him being disabled, if you remember that dwarf in DAO who got lyrium in his blood, Sandal might have been overwhelmed and damaged by it.

Do you have access to WoT2?   Because there is a very interesting entry in there concerning how Bodahn found him in the Deep Roads.     A duster had brought back an interesting artefact from the Deep Roads and Bodahn asked him to take him to where he had found it.     They went very deep, beyond the darkspawn and came to a cavern with a glittering wall depicting elves, dwarves, dragons and creatures that Bodahn did not recognise.   When he turned away from the wall, there stood Sandal.   Shortly after they hear darkspawn approaching, so he grabs the boy and runs.   The men with him collapsed the tunnel behind them so he never saw the cavern again.   It seems likely that Sandal is a true child of the stone and has a strong link to the titans.

I can see it now. The Titan is the true evil and all along Sandal was embodying it.
