As a break from the next Karnak Interior I knocked up these Sarcophugii models following a request from CaveGnome. Submitted to the Vault.

Gorgeous placeables... Now, we can hide uber-level undead pharaoh mummy's in high class sarcophagus !

Just in time for Halloween...

Thanks

Lovely!  But it should really have the shadows turned off or a basic shadow box.

How so? the shadows in the piccies are correct. look at the player's shadows. that area has several strong light sources so you get multiple shadows like they do with floodlit football. Unless you've seen odd shadows in another setting.

Oh, no no no.  Sorry.  I meant the actual number of shadows.  Since all the pieces have shadows turned on in their Aurora trimesh modifer, there's almost 5k shadow-casting triangles on a mesh that's only around 1meter x 1meter x 2.5 meters.  Either unticking Shadow on the AuroraTrimesh modifier or a simple shadow box for the front and back halves would basically make any of the shadow issues go away.

So, clone outside meshes, make planar, select shadow, no render & turn shadows off other meshes? Did that with the isis statue in the rameses temple to fix shadow issues. As I didn't detect any on this model I didn't bother. I suppose it might be a bit laggy as it is. Don't notice stuff like that now I've finally left the trailing edge PC wise. :P
