She's utterly useless. A childish gossip who does nothing more than sit at her desk and judge people. Speaking of which, what's with the whole every advisor only being able to do one war table mission at a time? Like really some of the missions are as simple as writing a letter, and it takes them an hour to do that? Please.
Back to josephine, do u really think that if cornflakeus offered her a spot as his lover she wouldn't leave you in a heartbeat? Eh? Cmon now. And her sister, omg dont even get me started. You'd think that being the offspring of an alligator and a tree would give her some idea of where she stands, but no. She tells me when going into the winter palace to be careful, when in reality she's the one really plotting against you. Dont believe me? Lemme explain.
Starting at haven, you meet this thing in the war room, now she tries to make small talk but you're smart enough to know what is going on. Later she asks you about your parents. Which, is strange on it's own, but it's even weirder that you cant counter ask about hers. Of course she wouldn't answer you anyways because shes a capricious sloot, but ya know what I'll let that slide.
Here's the main reason josephine is terrible, ready? It's because instead of dealing with her own family issues herself, she involves the newly named inquisitor to be her lapdog, as if she's somehow better than me. There's a reason you weren't made inquisitor josephine, go to your room. Oh wait, she sleeps in her office, too soon?
Also, can i just bring up again how she's the only one with a bathtub in skyhold? Resources are precious and she is bathing herself and making everyone else do it in front of her. Just sadistic.

My first gameplay I romanced her but now after romancing everyone but Bull and Blackwall (didn't because saw romance on youtube and it is awful as in boring, not as in painful, Solas is painful, Blackwall is just boring and IB too much BDSM, like the way he treats the Inqui but still too much BDSM) she is probably the worst romance and yes she is boring. But she is so null she doesn't even bother me, I just forget her existence except for the experience her quests give me and her slides in Trespasser ending because they caught me offguard while I'm focused on reading the others.

Should Josephine have ever existed? Nope. But again the whole game is a mistake and she is a very small one. Should blackwall have existed? Nope. So yeah... Solas, Sera, Cassandra and Varric should be enough as companions and Cullen for the sex (best sex of all romances). And if you exclude Varric the game should be a dating sim because if you take away combat (and you should because it is awful) all good things left are romances and Trespasser (which is an extended Solas/Sera/Cullen romance scene, others too but not worthy mentioning).

Josephine is honestly the only character in this game that makes me not want to play it. I despise even having to walk past her to get to the war room. I simply wanted to share my opinion of her on the forums, if you find that as trolling, power to you.

That said, I'm not even the biggest fan of the game, but Josephine was one of the least of my complaints. None of the advisors or Cass get a complaint from me.

Perhaps she exists to add realism to the game.  You cannot run a large org like Inquisition without someone to deal with the bureaucracy.

Sera shouldn't have existed, cause she is UTTERLY useless, only good at whining, Red Jenny serves no purpose and the Inquisition totally has no need for it/them.

Anyway, @ OP:

Josephine is the ambassador/diplomat. Clearly she is not useful on the field, but she works behind. She does what others can't do. Who should be the one dealing with the nobles? Being the voice of the Inquisition? Leliana? Doubt that. Cullen? Not the right person. Cassandra? Lol.

Josephine takes care of the boring side of the Inquisition. Just because it's not shown because it's boring, it doesn't make her useless.
It looks like you forgot that the Inquisition is not only based on strenght. It's not a tiranny...It's not only an armed force.. The organization doesn't grow just because the Inquisitor is going around scaring people away with his/her mark and killing everybody.. There is diplomacy as well and politics which are very important.. Josephine does that and she's the best suited to be a malicious and intelligent a** licker to all the Thedas nobility. As you see if it wasn't for her we would have arrived at the state of Trespasser (where all the nobility basically hates you) WAAY before that...

Liked her character, she had an important job, and did it well. Seemed a little weak for someone doing all of that political chicanery, but she had Leliana to do the dirty work and Cullen to be the muscle.

 

Now, her romance may have given me diabetes, and I will excise it in my canon play through, but she was a great in her role as the lead diplomat.

Sera is one of the 3 best team members in the game (the other two are Iron Bull and Dorian) Cassandra, Solas, and Varric are OK. Cole is really annoying, Blackwall is dull, and Vivienne is a whining ******.

 

Sera can be annoying at times but she doesn't like nobles that abuses the pleastany. She likes simple, She's not well educated but is trying to learn to be a better person, and most of all she is a conflicted character who knows she's conflicted and is honest about it.
