Josephine is by far the most helpful advisor. The Inquisition would not have been successful without her.

Sera is one of the 3 best team members in the game (the other two are Iron Bull and Dorian) Cassandra, Solas, and Varric are OK. Cole is really annoying, Blackwall is dull, and Vivienne is a whining ******.
Sera can be annoying at times but she doesn't like nobles that abuses the pleastany. She likes simple, She's not well educated but is trying to learn to be a better person, and most of all she is a conflicted character who knows she's conflicted and is honest about it.
LOL He/she talking about there jobs in an organization not there abilities and as a companion. Sera is really useless and her Red Jenny due to Leliana but she is somewhat the voice of common people so she could be helpful in the inquisition.
Personally the most useless of them all will be Cole somewhat fade pet of inquisitior.

As somebody who predominantly plays as a warrior, her thousand cuts and other archer abilities save my arse. Without her I'd never make it out of Descent.

Sera's one of the secondary members I'd like the most. She represents the needs of common people... and simply just wanting to get on with life without all of this drama around. It's the purest form of the Inquisition's goals. Like Cass says.. "restore order". I never understood why it's so easy to kick her compared to some characters. Not to mention, she's powerful and one of the classes that works well on the limited tactics.

... I can only assume you're kidding, but: she's there because she's a diplomat? You can't actually run an organization like the Inquisition without having someone deal with the political aspects surrounding it, especially when said Inqisition is very young, very powerful, and housed in a country whose monarch it hasn't sworn loyalty to. Someone needs to make sure the Inquisition is viewed in a benign light by the fat cats, and Josephine by and large contributes to that. So what if she gossips once in a while? Literally everyone does.
Sorry you don't like her, dude, but that doesn't mean she is a 'useless' addition to the game. And your description of her is really bizarre. She asks you for help because you have the influence required to help her, and she asks about contacting the Trevelyan protag's parents because they are powerful nobles whose support could benefit the Inquisition.

I think even her story fits.. Something should be in place for Loyalist viewpoints, for better or worse.
I think Bull is the most out of place. But all three should get a similar dismissal option as Sera.

why is Josephine in this game?
Because large and powerful organizations need people much smarter than you to administrate them

I thought Josephine was pretty pointless,as a romance she boring,as a character she's uninteresting and she doesn't assist in driving the story forward, her whole persona catered to other peoples opinions and demands, leaving little room for her own personality to be explored......to me,this is bad writing.
Having said that,in context of her position with in the game,I do consider her to be a real missed opportunity, she has the connections and knowledge to create all kinds of pacts and shady deals, she's vital in the grand scheme of thing's,in fact, the Trespasser DLC showed what Josephine should have been through out DAI,I liked seeing her get angry,I liked her challenging the inquisitions secretive stance at the time,it was the first time (I feel) we had a glimpse of her character.

The OP was presumably stoned and started a thread about Josephine looking like a cross between an aliigator and a tree. If I could be effed, I'd hunt it down.
Oh and there was another.. about a "nasty bathtub" or something.
