[cap and gown]

The entire production staff for MEA is up in Montreal today for reasons unknown. What possible reason would there be to fly all those people in except to mark some special milestone? With N7 day less than two weeks away, might they be watching a trailer that will be released that day?

 

OTOH, their twitch channel that supposedly will be devoted to an interactive playthrough of the Citadel DLC. Will that be followed or preceded by a new trailer? Wouldn't that be burying the lede?

 

What might be going on here? Speculations?

I think they have something planned for N7 day for sure! Seeing as most of the team is in Montreal and N7 Day is 1 week and 4 days away, I think the Citadel DLC is just a cover for what they are really going to reveal! I will be completely stunned if we don't get another trailer or some possible gameplay footage! I'm so excited for N7 Day it's ridiculous lol Whatever they have in store, I know it's going to be awesome!!

Hm.. to speculate or not to..hm..

 

First, air travel between Edmonton and Montreal is very, very expensive. To bring the Edmonton team to Montreal to view a new ME:A trailer makes no sense. Something is up and big enough for Bio to spend money to bring the whole team in one place.

 

Speculation(s).

1. The project is in trouble.

There is nothing better for management than bring the team together to explain the severity and negative domino effects down the road with other projects. Kinds of trouble? I lean towards the focus on exploration was found to negatively impact game pacing.  It is after all a shooter, especially the MP game.  This will delay the game as changes are required and the mgrs want to team to understand and ask them to refocus their efforts.

 

2. Maintain Secrecy - or ensure your mouth is zipped up tight.

Could be there is some leaks or re-emphasize the need to everyone to keep mum. With everyone in the room and senior managers explaining what is going on and reminding the team that Bio has a contract on their souls (he he). Still, a video conference does the same job and less costly. Frankly, this is a low probability.

 

3. Staff Changes

Low probability, unless senior staff is affected. The new management wants to talk to the team face to face.

 

4. Change in game play mechanics.

Could be that after watching recent gamse from the competition (ie: Halo 5) and Star Wars Battlefront Bio realized their original thinking requires a radical course change. This ties with item 1.

 

5. Bio has money to spend

Management decided to bring the whole team together for a Halloween Shindig and as an appreciation for their loyalty and hard work.

I would be shocked if we didn't get at least a  small teaser, though i doubt it will be anything major.

Maybe some concept  art.

This leads me to believe we won't be getting that awesome info dump we've been waiting for on N7 Day. The way they bolded and underline "END" for end of the year is pretty obvious to me that it's gonna be sometime near the end of December. I suggest people scale back their hype for November 7th.

We will get stuff, definitely.

 

But how much it is, and how spread out it is between November and December, I have little clue.

 

If they hit their announced release date, we're now within a year before release.

 

We got some concept art, a little conceptual footage, and a teaser trailer.

 

So yeah, its about time to start marketing more heavily. Not some giant push (that'll be summer onward), but I can definitely see a new, more substantial trailer happening.

AKA time to get more useful words and game footage beyond 'oh stuff is happening and you have little context!'.

 

Because all we know so far, still, is that there's exploration and establishment in Andromeda and we're playing a new protagonist that starts lower then ME1 Shepard and may end higher than ME2-ME3 Shepard (or at least the end of ME1). Maybe a bit more but whatever.

I think Mike Gamble tweeted that they were having a meeting, eating food and drinking (could have been a birthday, or a really let development meeting...).  And they had a laser tag event in which Chris Wynn placed 2nd.

Production team is in Montreal preparing for meetings and enjoying food/ drink. I am calling them all the time for work. Such a buzzkill.

Prepare yourselves. Something is coming on N7 Day, but what? I heard there will be a charity ME3 stream, but could we see something else? Like an reveal on the N7 Lootcrate and Mass Effect Andromeda?

Last N7 Day was concept art and the dev's patting each other on the back for showing off still images. I hope this N7 day could be some real INFO.
