While I'm no PromotionLord ("only" about 50 stats across the board), I have killed 50ish NM dragons and played with many of the "big names" on the forum -- ranging from SpaceVegan to Cirvante to Leynaline and so on (not going to list out over two dozen people or whatever, don't be offended if I didn't mention you specifically). And I can usually find NM dragon groups throughout the week whenever one of several "groups" has an open spot.

However, I'm trying to help a newer friend with NM dragons and we generally play at a specific time each week -- Tuesday at 11 PM CST (it is about 8 CST at the time of this posting, for reference). And finding a group with two spots or finding two more people at that specific day/time has been a royal pain, so we've been having to PUG two spots usually for the last few weeks. And, frankly, I'm sick of watching level 6 Archers join and rush up the ramp and die on wave 4 FC.

So I'm reaching out on this forum to see who might be interested in joining us *and* available in that timeslot (roughly 11 PM to 1-2 AM CST on Tuesday). If you want to join *MY* group you'll need to meet an exhaustive list of highly selective criteria, so pay close attention:

• Be at least halfway decent

If you need a moment to go back over that extensive list and process it, I understand, it's a lot to take in all at once. And no, 49.9% of decent is not sufficient, must be >= 50% of decent.

In all seriousness, though, I don't care about your stats or gear or skill as long as you can reasonably pull your own weight. I don't care if you've never done NM before as long as you're interested and willing to learn (and willing to listen to advice). While there is a minimum threshold of performance you need to meet (no, not going to take you if you have 12 stats across the board and are playing a level 8 Archer with a level 11 rare bow...unless you have a PromotionLord friend who can make up for your slack, I suppose), it is exceedingly generous. I'm not trying to aim for speed clears here, just trying to get two teammates who, well, aren't your typical PUG.

If you're interested can post here and/or add me on Origin (MagicalMaster on PC). This will probably be a weekly thing for at least a few months so even if you can't make this week (or I don't have room in the group this week) there's always the future.

You're going to have to explain how you came to that conclusion. Especially given statements like

I would be interested Magical Master. I'm 40ish stats and have killed 24 NM dragons (well, not me personally, I was carried for the most part ). My gear is about as good as you can get minus Hakkons.

I think I went to bed already when you got on.  But I did hop into Bruh's NM game for a look.  My silent sister promtply died in about 10 seconds but managed to stay alive after that but just hanging out and play cheerleader.   I was so used to charge in and kill everything in one shot, it was kind of a shock to see them alive and proceed to kick the crap out of me.  But it was my first NM game.

My typical PUG all seem to be lv1s with a fancy "Unstoppable Force" title 

 

Btw I still have a trial account that I never actually played... PM me if you really really really want a lv1 archer with lv1 common bow with 10 promotes across the board

The irony is, whenever you invite me, I'm in a full group; whenever I try to join you, you are in a full group...

You know I took up throwing blade upgrade to see how much damage I could do.  I normally have hidden blades.  I have been using it for the last week and most I got from it was like 1500...  nothing like the 10k damage like others said.     Actually I think someone in the NM last night (probably Bruh said that I should not be using throwing blade )

But you were on your Lego.    I was actually going to join with my Lego which has all the defensives and Hakkon's Honor so he would be the most survivable guy in NM.   But I saw that you guys don't have a rogue.. so I switched to SS thought that I could at least open some doors for you guys.   Turns out you just sone with zone 4 so my door opening ability was never showcased.

I use both.  My Throwing Blades usually hit about as hard as Hidden Blades, and it comes off cooldown faster.  What make's Throwing Blades so powerful is the upgrade; the damage bonus carries over to your next attack if you use it quickly enough.

I must not have been using it quickly enough.  I don't see any damage increase from one to another.   And my hidden blades hit way harder than throwing blade, but yeah the cool down is a ******.   In threatening, spinning blade and deathblow are more useful to me.  I would just charge in, spinning blade and everything dies.  If someone survives, deathblow will kill it.   And since I have audicity in the off hand, if one dies everyone around explodes and dies... in threatening that is.  In Perilous, it is slower, but still works.

I got knock down.   Spinning Blade, instead of eveyone dies.. it lightly scratches them.   Deathblow, instead of the dude dying... he laughs at me.    Fine, take this throwing blades.... block block....@$#%^@

Yeah, when you bring your reaver out, she swings and whiffs just as the enemy burn to ashes before her.

Part L2P issue, knowing when to charge in and when not to and how to counter the shield guys. I'm guessing it is against Darkspawn in this case.

 

Vs regular small shield guys, you should charge, back off, circle around until they've whiffed their KD atttack they always do after being blocked, and then attack him after that attack is mostly finished and he's still vulnerable

 

Vs large shield guys, you need to pay attention to their attack animation and try to outflank them during the windows of vulnerability

time to look at crit chance, crit damage and ability rings to enhance your ooomph, when ypu jump from perilous to NM you need to tweak things a bit
