I'm thinking of doing the same. I'm about 80% of the way to joining the mustard race when Andromeda drops

There's no release date for Andromeda right? I'm a bit far from buying a PS4 and I would like to be able to play that one on release.

I'm planning on doing the same for myself with a new PC

I've only seen the video partially but well, playing on PC makes quite of a difference. The mouse helps a lot

Of course deerber is damnn skilled, but doing that in a console is a bit harder. It's usually harder to aim in a console. Also the screen rotation is not as fast in a console.

 

Now, regarding the video. I saw him nova cancelling mostly in objectives, mainly in pizza. Which makes sense.

I also saw him using reload cancel very well. Quite important on a Claymore.

 

The weapon is an important part of a vanguard (pretty much any character aside adepts/engineer). Being able to one shot mooks helps a lot. With my Katana, I can one shot weak mooks if I'm point-blank. He was one shooting people at 5 meters.

 

Nice vid. I really like the vanguard but unfortunately playing off host kind of suck.

I have a question: on Alliance Training Rank 6 should I go weapon weight or damage? My manifest is new so I Katana gives me 170. I'm inclined to weight but as I only use a shotgun not sure it's worth it.

I have seen a build with no charge, detonating shockwave lift. But it's so hard, and risky.

My 2 builds are that one is a biotic charge>nova build and my other is a weapons platform which uses shockwave for detonating ammo and charge for detonating ammo and gaining shields.

To quote a certain 90's tv show, "Well isn't that cute... BUT IT'S WROOOONG!"

Chargeless Novaguard or shockwave Novaguard sacrifices a hefty amount of dps and survivability. Its one of those powersets that are headscratchers and no brainers. HV should have carnage or something out of the soldier powerset.

That's a long list. And the probability of getting one of those to X... I only have a Crusader and Collector SMG I, but I started 10 days ago, so I'd say it's a bit soon for URs

 

Btw, what's the point on the Collector SMG? The thing I liked about it is being able to hold fire but the damage is very low.
