Any tie in with the Reapers you think? Pretty hard to imagine a villain greater than massive spaceships with sentient thinking whose sole purpose was to eradicate the galaxy of advanced civilizations.

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hope NOT!

No omnipotent, unbeatable robo-Cthulhus this time around please; if we're going to end up in some random conflict I want it to be one we can win, so we don't end up with another starbrat to space magic "victory" at the end.

I suspect BioWare will fall back on their standard fare; the Khet will be Geth mk2 and the Remnants will be more Darkspawn/Reaper type space zombies. I'm not saying they're risk averse ... actually, yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. So we can look forward to more of the same - but hey, if it ain't broke...

Yes the reapers will be back except called something different by the species we encounter in Andromeda. hahaha

Cerberus could be the villain. If not, I would not be surprised if a few Cerberus operatives make it to Andromeda. humanity #1

No mind controlling super beings (Reapers or Thorian) hopefully. I expect them to be more like Batarians, Krogan and Vorcha, cruel bloodthirsty aliens.

It needs to be something bigger than just one nasty race, if they plan on doing another trilogy that is.

  • first game there could be a first contact war,
  • second game working out peace,
  • third game using our new alliances to deal with a larger threat.

All of this with foreshadowing of course

Pretty sure we're not going to encounter reapers ever again.

I'd also like for the villains to be at least a kilometer or two smaller.

How about... a strong female leader of the Andromeda native's police force who is tasked with destroying the invading Ark species.

A villain who tries to disrupt the protagonist's plans at every turn which results in long drawn out battles with every encounter. She also has a close knit squad of specialists who help her to try and destroy you which results in more drawn out battles.

I hope the villain is intelligent and calculating.

Have Jean Gilpin be the voice of that character. She voiced Meredith in DA2. A very strong, commanding voice

How about no main villain? No evil overlord.
Why not just a place and experience acting within people's lives, their petty conflicts and struggles.

A bit like if we had a load of spectre missions on illium for example.

I'd rather see a number of mini villains none of them tied to each other rather than the normal one big bad villain.  Also I'd like it to be that it is not obvious who the villains are?  BioWare did a great job of his in DA with the whole Harromount vs Bhelen Dwarven leader thing.  Let's have two alien races about to go to war or already in a war.  Ultimately you chose who to support but the choice is not obvious.  (One side might be more favorable to human settle etc but have a big negative trait the other side not so much a supporter of the new kids on the block but have a big positive.)

"eradicate the galaxy of advanced civilizations."

They don't "destroy" civilizations, they preserve their knowledge and through the selection of certain individuals, their conscience are upload in a colective core to create the new "reaper", not the way I would choose...as first choice.

" Despite this betrayal, the surviving Leviathans do not believe the Catalyst was a "mistake" and believe the Catalyst's use of the Reapers is part of an experiment on a galactic scale to seek a truly permanent method of preserving life."
"By harvesting technologically advanced species (both organic and synthetic) and storing these old species within immortal Reaper bodies, room is made for new life to flourish and grow, as was the case for primitive man. The continuity of life in the galaxy is assured through this cycle of extinction, as it ensures that organic life will never be fully exterminated before its time by synthetic life, as was demonstrated by the quarians and the geth."

And for the new "villain" i prefer something in the grey area not black and white

I doesn't need to be a female in the first place.

Why not?... some of my favourite enemies in the last games have been female like Enyala, Vasir and Benezia.

Unless you're talking about yourself (as a protagonist) and I am pretty sure you'll get a chance to be male :P

Wait, you've confused me, are you talking about "I" as in the protagonist or "It" as in the villain?

Typo, yeah, the villain. I don't think it's necessary or a requirement, either male and female options are fine, as long as it fits the story. I just don't want them to feel forced with anything.

Whatever villain they go with. I just want them to actually want to cause us harm, be dastardly beings. That's my hopes for the Khet.

Someone more interesting than Corypheus, for me at least. Corypheus just wasn't that intimidating or 'evil' really to me and I'm actually kind of hoping that Andromeda will have a new enemy group similar to Cerberus.

Shepard will be the villain. He becomes unsatisfied  with how the universe turns out after Mass Effect 3 so he dons the Reverse Flash's suit which gives him access to the speed force. He then runs into all the different universes and stops all the versions of himself from making the decision at the end of Mass Effect 3.
