I'm pretty sure both of you are so worried about this, that you won't even sleep tonight
But back on topic... Points!!
I know points aren't accurate or anything similar, but it slightly sucks (just a bit) when you're last.
Unless you players a match with people you know, than it's fine
By simply learning the spawn points you will already have an advantage over many players. Points are fun for bragging rights (for some anyways) but I can easily tell how good a player is without looking at the scoreboard ever. There's more to it than that.
For example : let's say you and another player are close in points and the objective wave starts. It's a team hack and the three of you are in the hack but the other player who is close in points is on the other side of the map scorewhoring and contributing nothing. He's not kiting anything away for the team and making it much easier to hack. No he's just trying to beef up his score as much as possible. It's things like this that make judging a players skill off points very inconsistent.
Sooo...even if you finish last on the scoreboard, just remember that there's a handful of variables to consider before fretting about it.
