What race do you intend to play in DA4?

I'd imagine the most popular choices will be human mage and Qunari (any class). Personally, I'm leaning towards the latter.

If I can play a human Tevinter mage I'll absolutely play a human Tevinter mage

If possible will always be an elf first and foremost. Best way to play something that isn't as boring as a human but can still look decent as well. I have made good looking Qunari with a few mods for textures and hair, but the huge lack of armor/clothing options really limits them still. Can't bring myself to play a dwarf yet. Don't mind being short, but something is just wrong in their proportions.
For class I seem to always want to play a mage first, but almost as always end up going with a rogue. Again I usually attribute this to the lack of a fun magic system. Mages who can only seem to cast 4-5 spells just seem broken to me.

My usual Elf rogue and in one of the following play throughs I will use a Elf mage---if possible.
I will never play a Qunari. I never like Sten in DA:O.

I want to say human mage, but if the devs make a rogue comparable to DAMP's duelist (Isabela), I'll strongly consider being a rogue first. I might consider elf for the rogue class.

All of them preferably and all the classes as well.
First one would probably be human (maybe an elf) and female. Class would be fighter or mage, depends how the gameplay trailers look. They would then be abandoned when I have a better grasp on the game story and how it will be played. I don't think I've ever finished the first created character in any bioware game I've owned. And I don't plan to start doing so now.

Well mage for sure, always play a mage but, I like Qunari, elven and, Tevinter human, in that order, or possibly a Kossith, if we get them.
I do rogues here and there for non mage friendly games but, in general I play mages. Have since DAO (and before in other games.)

Knowing what will be available as player races would be pretty important to make this decision. Technically, this question can not be answered yet.

I will play every possible race that is available at least once. Just as I did with Origins and Inquisition. Well I guess as I also did with DA2, but that wasn't exactly an achievement.

Well, I have a criteria I abide by when making characters in DA, in relation to class; I play a warrior first, then a mage, then a rogue, then I play it a fourth time as one of the other classes*.
As for race, it's whatever I want to be, but I usually consider the romance options and the other world states for that specific game.
Ultimately, the actual setting of the game doesn't affect my character choices. If it does, it's always the least important factor.
* In Origins my 4th Warden was a warrior, so I made my 4th Hawke a rogue, and my 4th Inquisitor is a mage. I guess I'd have to wait and see what my 4th PC in DA4 will be.

Elf. Any kind of Elf. Whether a mage or non-mage just depends on which way the story's blowing.
Also a Qunari if available--playing a grey giant in the country they're at war with sounds intriguing.
On the other hand, playing a dwarf, a non-magic race with magic immunity, in a country filled with and ruled by mages, would also be intriguing. In a country and story filled with "MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC!" where everyone no doubt angsts about whether or not magic ruined the world or will ruin the world and should mages do X, Y, and Z, it might actually be fun to play a character who's all, "Meh, I don't have a dog in this fight. Where's my lyrium shipment?"

Unless you have privileged information that race options will actually change, that assumption matters very little.

Been wanting a city elf, in a more in depth attempt at urban gameplay.
Many like this game for elves, but I think whatever faith themes they were going for fit better with someone more easily under it's influence (for better or worse).

My main playthroughs so far in DA games are lady human mages, so that will be it my next main so long as I can play a human, and a mage haha
I always try to give a few elf playthroughs a go too. If I can play an elf, I generally play them as archer-style rogues.
I personally have trouble playing dwarves and Qunari in DAi because of the iffy cutscene focus points for each >.> if that gets fixed to separate camera angles for each race I'll try them each again but I don't see that happening.

Well, technically, since people answered the question, it can be answered. Maybe you can't answer the question, but that doesn't mean others can't. Honestly, as long as no one is saying that they will play whatever race/s, it doesn't matter how someone tries to answer it.
