Assuming this new crew left before ME3, wake up from Stasis in Andromeda with no idea of the events that went on after they left? Maybe they left during the period of Shepard's death?

And maybe they end up in Andromeda on accident with no way back to the MW and looking to find a home because supplies are limited and really have to?

I think that could be grounds for an interesting story.

But that may be just me. Any other what ifs (sans the inevitable trolling)?

Personally do not believe an entire crew would make the journey, but would love to see one of Liara'a time capsules w/ Glyph involved in some way.

 I think that would make for a very interesting story and makes for a very good speculation as to how this new protag ends up in Andromeda! Whatever, the case may be; I'm super excited to see what Bioware has in store lol

It works but it also means BioWare will never have to explain what became of the Milky Way, which is just really lazy in my eyes. Like, I'm fine with the game being set in Andromeda but I don't want the plot to be based around the cast miraculously avoiding the end of Mass Effect 3 by being enroute to Andromeda at the time.

I think it would be interesting if towards the end there was some small percentage of possibility to go back to the Milky Way, even if it turns out to be a failure, the chance that it could happen would be cool.

Agreed. Why anger fans and canonize an ending? Everyone's Mass Effect game turned out the way they wanted it to. Why penalize fans that went with a different ending, or love interest, or made different story choices?

Honestly, I'd like moments when you can't understand. You'd have to find different means of communication. Not for an entire game but little moments here and there.

I have a very different "What if". What if the end of ME-Andromeda Trilogy ends with a similar cliff hanger future as the Original Milky Way Trilogy. What if we get to choose our Protagonist for a/the 3rd ME trilogy from either the ME-MW story arch, or ME-A Story? Because here is an interesting but maybe useful fact about both galaxies that could somehow work itself into the Mass Effect Andromeda story/drama. According to scientists, both galaxies are fated to merge/collide in the not to distant future (anatomical time) and become one. I really believe the endings of ME-MW trilogy left the door wide open for a reappearance after a "Bridging" series (ME-A).
