Raises hand...
Sexy face ain't nothing without a sexy voice. And that VA has left me cold.
Now I wasn't in love with the IQ voices, but I like Alix, and well, rest of the cast. I could just listen to the dialogue and be happy.

I understand, but as I said earlier in the thread, he does nothing for me. Literally nothing. I don't hate him I don't like him. He's like white noise, and that doesn't happen to me.

I went and dug the thing up with this whole "To redeem or not to redeem that is the question" conversation. Plus, great episode and Rupert Giles is the mentor of all mentors.

No, it's not surprising because DAI was at the tail end of its life cycle and W3 had come out with new content that week. Which, if I may add, had adverts all over the site and popped in the middle of ballot.
If W3 had actually come up during now it would have been trounced by Tomb Raider, FO4, Halo 5 and the like.

Personally believe TW3 won because they received more popular votes; all that is needed for such a contest. It still has yet to win the top honors; will have to see how it fares at that time. Until then, fans of DAI can look at the last one on Bioware's shelf.

I know, but the point is that W3 is fresh in most minds with being out only six months and DAI was released this time last year. So, of course, W3 would do better.
But put up against the games that are coming out this month? With FO4, Star Wars Battlefront, Rise of the Tomb Raider. And with Halo already out? I have doubts W3 would have sold half as well.
That DAI sold well enough for EA exes to take note and tell their investors says more to me than any award, honestly. Because it means we have a very good chance for more, which, in all honesty, is something W3 doesn't figure into.

Please. Other than FO4, nothing on that list is going to challenge for GotY.

Mass Effect 2 was released in January and still won the award back in 2010. So your logic about DAI being lost on people doesnt make sense. I mean, didnt DAI have 3 major DLCs released this year with the highly liked Trespasser being the most recent?
Also, people DID know about DAI cause it got runner up in one award.

Why are the opinions of those who give out the DICE award more valuable than people who gsve out the Joystick award.

DAI was the main 4th QTR/Holiday release for EA, of course it was going to be mentioned in their investor report.

What about all those other fan choice awards it won? Or does it only count if you think the competition is legitimate? Because then we can just say TW3s own wins don't count until it knocks off COD or FO4. All of this is silly. The fact more people might like another game won't make TW3 less good (or as good as TW2

For one, I doubt their votes are cast on the Internet; a venue well known for being secure and all. And the Gaming industry is awarding their own, like that Oscar example that continues to pop up now and then. It means little to me, but certainly seems to have greater worth to those in that field.
For another, some Players voting seem to contend their opinions are facts. Believe those in the industry may have a better grasp of those definitions.

I don't think so. Personally, I felt half of the Inquisitors lines (with all voices) were delivered horribly, the music is forgettable, except the one that plays during the mage quest - can't remember what it's called, the one with time travel. Sound effects came across as not very realistic. Magic, fine, you can do whatever with that, but other sound effects... no.
Like I said, I don't think it's deserving of any of those awards.
Especially the male inquisitors

But at the end the of they it is just their opinion. Those "judges" that give out the DICE award is doing so only through opinion and you are big on opinion not equating to fact. For one, I doubt their votes are cast on the Internet; a venue well known for being secure and all. So essentially, TW3's and DAI's GOTY awards should mean nothing to you cause they are all based on opinion and bias, correct?
Or does opionion now matter only if it benefits DAI?
It is very elitist to say that the consumer's opinions does not matter cause they arent "in" the industry and thus do not know what they are judging. At the end of the day, opinion is opiniom whether they are in the industry or not.
Industry people might know certain things, but they do not drive demand, consumers do. Demand leads to sales, revenue and profit, which is what keeps people in their jobs.

Consumer awards are important, and recognized among the 130+ GOTY Awards that DAI has earned. But the Industries Top Honor seems to be the DICE Award, though someone in the industry should confirm this.
It seems elitist to consider one's opinion greater than others by equating them to facts.
