I was reading the ANN twitter/wikia page. And I just love reading the tweets and blogs leading up to Mass Effect 3.  It was immersive in my opinion, reading fictional news articles about certain happenings in the galaxy or sol system.  Then of course, the build up to Mass Effect 3 with the Reaper invasion in Los Angeles, that was the icing on the cake for me.

Do you think BioWare would do something like this again? Perhaps give us a little background on ME:A leading up to the release? Like fictional news articles about developing technology or acquiring the tech to make the journey possible? Shed some more light on how we made our way to Andromeda from an entirely different perspective?

Maybe, but not to the extent of #solcomms, since there was a couple of people who were unhappy that Bioware was writing a story on a website that was free to access by everyone, and once Emily Wong died (spoilers) she became the central character of the series and her death on a website anyone could access was one of histories greatest crimes.

I thought it was a lot of fun, especially the way that people joined in and fan-made accounts started adding to the story.

#solcoms was great, and why not allow fans to join in on the fun? That's what makes it immersive, and the fans can feel like they are contributing to something that they really love.

It may not have to be to that extent.  But I didn't mind it.  It did not alter the game in anyway. No one had to pay money to read the tweets.  Wasn't forced down anyone's throats.

Sure....let's broadcast our super secret survival mission to everybody.

No, I don't think the Alliance News Network should know anything about it.

With all the hate towards what they tried to do with social media and Mass Effect 3, I don't see a lot of it happening this time around. I also don't expect to know anything too specific about the game until six to nine months before release.

Absolutely. Doesn't have to be all that often either. I'd love an android app that would serve some additional function, but not have it shut down a few months after game release.

I wouldn't mind that. I love how 343 Industries did it for Halo 5: Guardians with the Hunt the Truth stuff.

Of course it is. Otherwise the Reapers would put a stop to it.

I have no faith in the Reapers doing so. They couldn't even stop a dummy like Shepard. Lol

I just pray characters are not killed through social media. Seriously though, I wish Emily Wong was the one we could take aboard instead of Diana Allers. I have a overwhelming amount of respect for Bioware but I cannot understand and will not respect that decision.

I think Emily Wong was an afterthought. She was supposed to be in the game at one point (in an earlier version of the Citadel coup).

Anyways, I don't think the Alliance should even matter much at this point, but maybe I'm wrong.

I HATED that stuff..,  to have to find out that a Emily Wong died by a damned tweet??  nah.  not everyone subscribes to that crap OR TWEETS!!!  they should set up an app (either mobile and/or some small thing for consoles/pc) that has a news feed.....fictional newspaper and info source from BW....  but i dont dig the tweets

I think it would be cool to have a crew member mission log or something. And that crew member would share those logs with you.
