While I kill random encounters like bandits or freemen, these innocent animals accidentally get killed by other party members. I really wish they didn't. They are so cute and pretty :crying: ..I wouldn't even kill bears if they don't chasing me.

It just makes me feel weird and sorry.
Especially when Dorian shouted 'Take that, you filth!' or something like that.

Oh, Dorian..it's really not...

Maybe it's a Tevinter thing, I don't know, something like southern animal filth.

Solas killing a halla with stonefist feels wrong too.

It's actually quite fitting in retrospect.

I've been known to chase a halla all over the Exalted Plains after accidentally grazing it with some AoE spillover. Wounded animals suffer horribly and usually wind up starving to death. Better to put it out of its misery. I don't hunt halla on purpose any more than I hunt fennec or gurn or august rams or any other non-aggressive creature, but black wolves, lurkers, and other predators do, and they don't always kill their prey on the first try. About the only animals I will intentionally chase down and kill on sight are nugs. Damn, but their feet are creepy.

I always feel bad when some random passing fennec gets caught up in an AOE.

Oh... *Awkward moment of realisaton*. I hunt animals unintentionally at the time, without feeling any pity for them. ( In DAI, I don't feel a lot. And I don't hunt in RL)

I'm fine with killing wild animals.

But I hate killing mabari.  They even cry when they die.

Poor pups.  :(

The annoying thing is that even if you only slightly graze them, they still follow you around inviting you to kill them.    I was actually prevented from leaving the Hissing Wastes because some August Ram had been injured and kept coming back to us, so we were permanently in combat mode.

I have to admit that some of the animals are a bit stupid because they actually wander into the line of fire when you'd think they'd run in the opposite direction at the first sign of trouble, which for any non predator would be simply seeing a group of people enter their territory, but, no, they continue on oblivious and get caught by stray arrows or staff projectiles.      Then my elf tries to save the halla by stopping the wolves from attacking them and they run back into the fray.   Stupid beasts (and they are meant to be intelligent).

Worst of all is when the criters get in the way of my horse.    The scream as I ride over them is awful but sometimes they change direction just too quick for me to avoid them.  So OP you do have my sympathy.    Vivienne is at least better than Dorian in her cries.   She usually says "poor thing".    Knew she had a soft spot somewhere.

Use the Everyone Attack command, and when it that foe is deceased, press it again for the next opponent. Or press Disengage to avoid more casualties.

How could you kill those little nug? They make funny sounds and fall over dead. I use to hunt Snoufleurs but I don't anymore. They're kinda cute. On the lake in Emprise Du Lion one seemed to be scratching it's ear. I thought puppy and couldn't kill them.

I downloaded a mod from Nexus, and I don't have to kill them anymore.

It's actually quite fitting in retrospect.

I agree. He plans on wiping out pretty much everyone.

I use Disengage or I just let them be blood thirty.

Cass shouts " Maker take you!"

Dorian shouts "Take that, you filth!"

Varric shouts "Eat dirt!"

Solas shouts " Away with you!"

It is hard to avoid the Bronto once it is charging. The toughest place to avoid conflict with them is in the northern region of Emerald Grave by the giants.

Meh. Someone's gotta thin their herds-- for their sakes, of course.

Not a fan of incidental fire in the JoH DLC either; Gurn hold grudges, as well as some other critters. And those spiders....

I was thinking more along the lines of, he is destroying something the Dalish cherish by using Veil based magic on it. :)

Solas takes great pleasure in pulverizing small fennecs with stonefist. I have been know to attack Halla to see how many I could hit with one Archer's Lance.

I find it fun to speak to the elf who watches over the Halla with my gear made of Halla hide. :D

Many games these past few years offer the opportunity to hunt critters. Yes, they are cute but also tasty.

I am a huge supporter of Animal Rights in real life, but hunting whales in AC Black Flag never bothered me because I know its not real.

Only time I was ever bothered by such was in AOC and I had to kill dogs for their meat. I skipped that quest.

The next time a Wyvern tries to bite your ass, just remember its just so cute. :P

Doesn't bother me much. I don't hunt IRL; I don't have the patience or temperament for it. But in DAI and other video games, I'm responsible for a few extinction level events.

I only mind when I accidentally graze a Bronto or something similar, at which point it goes nuts and charges the mage. Otherwise it's fair game.

Also it's funny how AWR practically snarls out "ONE DOWN!!!" when vaporizing a hapless nug with an errant bolt of Chain Lightning.

I can't bring myself to slaughter that family of nugs in Crestwood though.

No, even I can't bring myself to do that, and I will hunt nugs for nugskin. They aren't hurting anything, they aren't likely to get aggroed by ambient combat, and they aren't sitting on top of any must-have items, so there's no reason to even go there. But I do get annoyed when everyone gives you varying levels of disapproval for even going into that part of the cave, as you do if you enter it via the wrong door. I will actually say aloud, "Take a chill, Cole/Varric/Bull/Solas/Blackwall/etc, I'm just passing through."

I've never had anyone give disapproval unless I kill the nugs there.

If you run by the family and scare them away, Iron Bull will make a comment about was that necessary. I now go through the other door not to scare the family.
